Another book where love is found out of the ton, so another good plot from one of my favorite author in one of my favorite series. Regina and Daffin are two good people and together they seem to be a good couple, but sparks are hidden under the ash and between the handcuffs ;)

Un altro libro regency dove l'amore si trova al di fuori dell'alta società e questo porta ad una storia in un certo senso innovativa, da parte di una delle mie scrittrici preferite. Regina e Daffin sono una bella coppia, ma le scintille si nascondono sotto la cenere e tra le manette ;)

Usually I'm a lover of Lora Leigh and are also quite used to her constant use / abuse of sex scenes, this time however I think she exaggerated because in addition to the typical alpha male and female ultra beta (unbearable) the book completely lacks a plot worthy of note because the story is constantly interrupted by the sex scenes more or less justified or justifiable only to mask a complete lack of ideas. Maybe it would be to go back to writing less books, but better.

Di solito sono un'amante di Lora Leigh e sono anche piuttosto abituata al suo costante uso/abuso di scene di sesso, stavolta comunque credo che abbia esagerato perché oltre al tipico maschio alfa e femmina ultra beta (veramente insopportabile) manca completamente una trama degna di nota perché la storia viene costantemente interrotta da amplessi piú o meno giustificati o giustificabili se non come una completa mancanza di idee. Magari sarebbe il caso di tornare a scrivere qualche libro di meno. ma migliore in termini assoluti.

I liked this book a lot, even if in the middle of it I just got a little bit bored. The story of a book trough almost 600 hundred years, from the first painter to the last owner, was really brilliant and it showed the world and its story from a different point of view. I think I will try to read some other books from this author.

Questo libro mi é piaciuto un sacco, anche se verso la metà ha avuto un leggero cedimento, ma poi si é ripreso alla grande. La storia di un libro attraverso quasi 600 anni di storia d'Europa, dalla prima pittrice a l'ultimo proprietario, permette di vedere il tutto da un differente punto di vista. Credo che leggerò altri libri di questa autrice.

This book is a collection of clinical cases of dr. Yalom and I would recommend it to all my colleagues because sometimes even psychoanalysts are able to be emphatic ;) Apart from this, the theme of the book is death and the various mode that people use to deal with it, whether it is real or imagined. Stunning and interesting.

Questo libro é una raccolta di casi terapeutici del dott. Yalom e lo consiglierei a tutti i miei colleghi perché a volte anche gli psicoanalisti riescono ad essere empatici ;) A parte questo, il tema del libro é la morte e le varie modalitá che le persone mettono in atto per affrontarla, sia che sia reale sia immaginata. Impressionante ed interessante.

This book seriously disappointed me due to the fact that mostly is not well written, it seems to me in serious need of a good editing. The story is flat and boring and the culprit was pretty clear to me since the beginning, also because the introduction lasts fast half of the story if not more....I do not know what happened because I really like Kate but this novel is a failure.

Questo libro mi ha proprio deluso, prima di tutto perchè scritto male e sembra aver decisamente bisogno di un buon editing, inoltre la storia é piatta e noiosa, il colpevole chiaro dall'inizio e l'introduzione dura quasi metá del libro se non di piú....Non so bene cosa sia successo, anche perché di solito le storie di Kate mi piacciono molto, ma questo libro é un totale fallimento.

As usual, the author is able to describe alpha males and females in a very nice and smooth way, tying them together in stories of great effect.To be read also because they open the doors to some of her best series.

I haven't made my mind up on this topic, but I find it very interesting and I also agree that the studies about mind and psychedelics has to go on, in a very controlled way but it cannot be stopped. I will try to stay updated on the subject even if there is my Ego that strongly disagrees :)

Non mi sono ancora fatta un'opinione certa sull'argomento che prevede lo studio del cervello alla luce del'uso controllato delle sostanze psichedeliche, ma sono comunque certa che le ricerche debbano continuare e debbano essere effettuate in modo strettamente controllato, in modo da poterne verificare la veridicitá dei risultati senza tema di essere smentiti. I liked this book, but in a way was so similar to some of my experience as an expat, that I didn't enjoyed as much as I could, because it was raw and too near some very bad memories of mine that even if it was pretty short, I couldn't read it in one setting. This was also ok because I read that it was originally published in a monthly magazine, but this didn't help the disconnection I felt between the chapters. A good book for the wrong person.

Questo libro mi é piaciuto, ma siccome era in qualche modo troppo simile ad alcune delle mie esperienze da expat, non mi é piaciuto tanto quanto avrebbe potuto, perché era troppo vicino ad alcuni dei miei peggiori ricordi.
Anche se piuttosto corto, per le ragioni precedentemente espresse, non sono riuscita nemmeno a leggerlo tutto di seguito, peró questo era anche il modo originale, in quanto ho letto che era uscito su una rivista mensile, il che spiega peró come mai i capitoli sembrano comunque tutti estremamente slegati tra di loro.

Ce livre était amusant, mais absolument pas inoubliable, surtout parce qu'il y a trop de références à des personnages que je ne connais pas. Il s'agit du septième d'une série qui a atteint 19 ans, si je ne me trompe pas, mais je n'ai lu que ceci. Cela semblait aussi assez rapide et presque tout passé au lit. Je préfère les autres séries de l'auteur, celle de la policière et de l'homme politique.

Questo libro é stato divertente, ma assolutamente non indimenticabile, soprattutto perché ci sono troppi riferimenti a personaggi che non conosco, essendo questo il settimo di una serie che é arrivata a 19, se non mi sbaglio, ma io ho letto solo questo. Inoltre mi é sembrata piuttosto rapida e passata quasi tutta a letto. Preferisco l'altra serie dell'autrice, quella della poliziotta e del politico.

Wenn ich früher gewusst hätte, wie dieser Schriftsteller einen ähnlichen Stil wie Modiano hat, hätte ich ihn wahrscheinlich nie gelesen; denn wenn ich am Ende eines Buches angelangt bin, muss ich wissen, dass das, was ich lese, der Geschichte entspricht. Hier gibt es zu viele Lücken und der Erzähler ist nicht zuverlässig, so dass am Ende mehr als ein Foto von einer Situation, ich habe eine vage Vorstellung von dem, was passiert ist.

Se avessi saputo prima quanto questo scrittore abbia uno stile simile a quello di Modiano probabilmente non l'avrei mai letto perché io ho bisogno, quando arrivo alla fine di un libro, di sapere che quello che ho letto corrisponde alla storia che é scritta. Qui ci sono troppe lacune ed il narratore non é abbastanza affidabile, tanto che alla fine piú che una fotografia di una situazione, ho una vaga idea di quello che é successo.

I liked this book a lot even if I found the plot quite lacking, still the love of Mor for the sci-fi books for me were more than worthy a whole book whiteout plot I have to admit. Witches or not, fairies or not, what I sorely missed is a list of all the titles in the book to start going trough it in my sci-fi reading time. I hope that somebody on the web did it for me!

Questo libro mi é piaciuto molto anche se la trama é piuttosto scadente secondo me, ma l'amore di Mor per i libri e quelli di fantascienza in generale valgono piú di alcune lacune nella storia secondo me. Streghe o no, fate o meno, quello che piú mi é mancata é una lista di tutti i titoli nominati nel libro in modo da leggerli a mia volta; spero che qualcuno in internet l'abbia giá fatta per me!

The history of this professor of genetics and its various projects, which somehow led him to the woman of his dreams, it's fun. Maybe it is not as fun as everyone seems to think, because sometimes it seemed to me repetitive and some situations are definitely excessive, but it certainly is a fast and easy read.

La storia di questo professore di genetica e dei suoi vari progetti, che in qualche modo lo portano poi ad assicurarsi la donna dei suoi sogni, é divertente. Magari non é divertente come sembrano pensare tutti, perché a volte mi é sembrata ripetitiva ed alcune situazioni decisamente eccessive, ma sicuramente é una lettura facile e veloce.

Some parts went fast, some other I was dragging trough but the first plot twist took me completely by surprise, not the second though. Anyway what really bothers me is that this book is the first in a series and I am pretty sure it would have been more packed and fast paced if it were a stand alone novel, which I would have preferred. But of course this is only my opinion.

Alcune parti di questo libro le ho lette molto velocemente, altre sono state faticosissime, comunque la prima rivelazione mi ha colto completamente di sorpresa, mentre la seconda era piuttosto chiara a quel punto. Purtroppo peró, la cosa che mi dà particolarmente fastidio é che questo é il primo volume di una serie, penso peró che sarebbe stato un libro molto piú avvincente se fosse stato un unico volume, perché cosí é piuttosto chiaro come ci siano delle parti unicamente riempitive e prive di utilitá per la trama.

Ein Buch zu schwer für mich, der ständige Wechsel der Erzähler, die verschiedenen Stile in die Geschichte erzählt und die emotionale Distanz jedoch, dass so weit es mich betrifft dringt durch das ganze Buch, haben mich von zu schätzen, was sicherlich gibt es gut verhindert dieser Roman, aber vielleicht sollte ich in der Übersetzung zu warten um diese Buch zu lesen.

A book too hard for me, the continuous change of the narrators, the different styles in telling the story and the emotional distance, however, that as far as I'm concerned permeates the book, have prevented me from appreciating what surely good is in this novel, but maybe I should have wait to read it in translation.

Un libro troppo difficile per me, il continuo cambio dei narratori, i diversi stili nel raccontare le vicende e la distanza emotiva, che comunque per quanto mi riguarda permea tutto il libro, mi hanno impedito di apprezzare quello che sicuramente c'é di buono in questo romanzo, ma che forse avrei dovuto aspettare in traduzione.

It was not bad, but way too long and the plot didn't convince me so much in the end. The author should have also find another way to convey the characters' thoughts in my opinion, because in the end I was reading only the italics...

Non é che questo sia un brutto libro, ma é troppo lungo e la trama non mi ha convinto piú di tanto alla fine, specialmente la redenzione di tutti e scordiamoci il passato. Inoltre credo che l'autrice avrebbe dovuto trovare un altro modo per scrivere i pensieri dei personaggi principali, alla fine leggevo solo il corsivo...

Easy and very nice book, just in the style of John Green and David Leviathan. Tiny is a character not easily forgotten and Will Grayson is his perfect supporter. The musical, however, was not y cup of tea ;)

I'm pretty sure I will never be disappointed by a Torben Kuhlmann book, he is such a great painter and writer and even if his stories follow more or less the same pattern every time, they are such a pleasure for the eyes that the story matters till a certain point.

Sono abbastanza sicura che difficilmente potrei non apprezzare uno dei libri di Torben Kuhlmann perché lui é un grande disegnatore e anche se le sue storie seguono spesso la stessa trama, sono un piacere per gli occhi tanto da far scivolare tutto il resto in secondo piano.

I liked this story and even the three short stories that the author published before this one mostly because is really totally different from the bacl dagger brotherhood that I quit reading ages ago. I don't know if I will keep on reading this series because mostly I am fed up with series but it was still a nice reading.

Another tale of Prince Lestat, that I really think you should read only if you love Lestat and all the old friends we got to know in years, like Marius, Armand and Louis of course. Another big problem for the prince of the undead and his court, another brillant solution, another story.

Un altro racconto che vede come protagonista Lestat e sinceramente vi consiglio di leggerla soltanto se siete grandi fans delle croncache dei vampiri e avete voglia di rivedere i soliti personaggi come Marius, Armand e Louis ovviamente. Un altro problemone per il principe dei non morti e della sua corte, un'altra brillante soluzione e in finale solo un'altra storia.
