Strange love story, with the prince that rides a huge bike, has a tender hearth and shares everything with his friends, and when I say everything that's exactly what I meant. Riders are not exactly my cup of tea but opal Carew writes in a nice way.
Una strana storia d'amore, dove il principe guida una moto, ha un cuore tenero e condivide tutto con i suoi amici, e quando dico tutto, intendo proprio proprio tutto. Le storie d'amore con i motociclisti non sono il mio genere preferito, ma c'é da dire che Opal Carew scrive bene.

I have to admit that I haven't read the original Nightwalker series, and I had problem with this one all along, so it doesn't come as a surprise to me that even if I kinda did like the 4th book this one was a delusion, both for the couple involved and for the "supposedly epic final battle between good and evil", but as I'm sure it is my fault, many people could appreciate this book better than I did.
Devo ammettere prima di tutto, che non ho letto la prima serie dei Nightwalker, inoltre ho faticato per tutti i precedenti libri di questa saga e credo anche di averne saltato uno; quindi, con queste premesse, non mi ha poi stupito piú di tanto che non mi sia piaciuto questo libro, nonostante il 4 non fosse male, sia per la coppia coinvolta (mamma mia che sofferenza) sia per quella che teoricamente avrebbe dovuto essere l'epica battaglia finale tra il bene e il male; sono anche convinta che sia colpa mia quindi non mi stupirebbe se a molte persone questo libro piacerá, magari anche tanto.

Great essay in mostly all my favorite English speaking author, and some Russian. I would have liked somebody else, I mean from other culture and language, but ok, maybe next time, but no, Thomas Mann is not enough.
Grande saggio che racconta e approfondisce quasi tutti i miei autori inglesi preferiti, e qualche russo. La prossima volta non mi dispiacerebbe qualche altro autore, magari di una cultura diversa e no, thomas Mann non é abbastanza.

Review: The Final Dawn

I was able to read the first in this series and then this one, which unfortunately seems to be the last. I'm glad I discovered a new author that I hope to continue reading for a long time, and I can't recommend that you read the three books in between as well, because they are definitely worth it.
Sono riuscita a leggere il primo di questa serie e poi questo, che sembra purtroppo l'ultimo. Sono contenta di aver scoperto una nuova autrice che spero di continuare a leggere a lungo e non posso consigliarvi che leggere anche i tre libri nel mezzo, perché sicuramente valgono la pena.

Assassino senza volto by Henning Mankell, Giorgio Puleo (Translator)

Pessimo inizio per il commissario Wallander, nel quale riponevo invece immense speranze. Non credo che continueró questa serie anche perché lui, il personaggio principale, non mi sta per niente simpatico e l'atmosfera cupissima della Svezia mi fa venire la claustrofobia. Le interazioni tra ipotetiche fidanzate e amici sembrano quelle che hanno qui i tedeschi e soprattutto il giallo viene risolto per caso e sempre per una delle "mitiche intuizioni" di Wallander che lasciano molto a desiderare, strutturalmente parlando un giallo che viene risolto sulla base di magici insight non fa proprio per me.

Even if I do not know so much about business psychology and theory of leadership, this book was really interesting and well written, offers a lot of insight and way to elaborate problems that can be not only working problems. Creativity is a must to elaborate a new way of thinking without being an expert in neuroscience.
Anche se non mi intendo poi cosí tanto di psicologia del lavoro e delle organizzazioni, nè delle varie modalitá per strutturare una ledership funzionante, questo libro mi ha interessato molto perché offre molte informazioni interessanti e modi di elaborare problemi che non debbono per forza essere di tipo lavorativo. La creativitá é un must per elavorare un pensiero strategico funzionale, senza essere un esperto in neuroscienze.

Banale, banalissimo, la stessa idea di partenza era trita e ritrita, ogni volta che cominciava un capitolo (per quanto la lista della spesa fosse una piacevole novitá) tutto il resto che seguiva era come un film giá visto, tante tante volte.
