L'infanzia di Gisèle Halimi, dalla sua nascita fino al suo arrivo a Parigi per studiare alla Sorbona. Le difficoltá di una bambina in un ambiente patriarcale, i litigi con la madre che non l'ha mai capita, i rischi in una Tunisia che lottava per l'indipendenza dalla Francia, sono raccontate attraverso i disegni e le parole di questa bella graphic novel.

Je ne connaissais pas l'existence de la minorité Hmong, et encore moins son existence troublée. Ce BD est très bien dessiné et nous permet surtout d'apprendre l'existence d'un peuple avant qu'il ne soit oublié.
Non sapevo dell'esistenza della minoranza Hmong e tantomeno della sua travagliata esistenza. Questa graphic novel é molto ben disegnata e soprattutto ci permette di conoscere l'esistenza di un popolo prima che venga dimenticato.

With this book the author is back to her former glory and Anna is as good as ever. She and Gilberth go trough life, which is far from being always good, and their stories are so nice to read. As usual, every time I finish one of her books I'm looking forward to the next one.
Con questo libro l'autrice torna agli antichi splendori assieme ad Anna. Lei e Gilberth attraversano la vita (che non é mai sempre meravigliosa) con una leggerezza ed un trasporto tali da rendere il libro indimenticabile. Come al solito infatti, non faccio in tempo a finirne uno che voglio subito il prossimo!

I wasn't crazy about the style, but the main character, in some ways and maybe even the way he was drawn; Slava though, this character halfway between Lupin and Rockerduck ,I liked quite a bit.
Lo stile non mi ha fatto impazzire, ma il personaggio principale, per certi versi e forse anche per come era disegnato; Slava peró questo personaggio a metá tra Lupin e Rockerduck mi piaceva parecchio.

I thought I would have much more difficulties going trough this book that covers the three year before Anne's marriage, but I was wrong, because even without Gilbert, Anna's stories are always funny and entertaining. Looking forward to read the next one anyway ;)
Pensavo che mi sarebbe pesato leggere questo libro che copre i tre anni di fidanzamento di Anna, ma mi sbagliavo, perché anche senza Gilbert le storie della nostra eroina sono sempre molto divertenti. Comunque non vedo l'ora di leggere il prossimo ;)

I loved the previous 2 books more than this one, where Anna is grown up, and I miss the little child that was able to speak with the trees and flowers but she could still decide what was reality and what not.
Gli altri due libri mi sono piaciuti un po' di piú, questo, anche se vede un'Anna piú adulta in termini cronologici, mi ha fatto sentire la mancanza della bambina che parlava con gli alberi e riusciva lo stesso a mantenere un contatto con la realtá.

Even if I usually love Douglas Adams, this comics is not so funny. It would have been better for me to read the books first, maybe.

I cartoni animati di Anna dei capelli rossi erano bellissimi, ma il libro é anche meglio. Considerato che sono stata tanto fortunata da trovare tutta la serie di libri cartacea, ho intenzione di leggermela tutto quest'estate.

I should have known better than buying this book, a re-told of Austen's Northanger Abbey, because even the original one I didn't appreciate a lot. So it take me a little time to get bored by this new version also, and I just finished it because I felt Honor bound. Only thing now I would love to go and see the Edinburgh Festival!
Lo sapevo che non avrei dovuto comprare questo libro, perché anche la versione originale della Austen non mi aveva affatto entusiasmato. Quindi mi ha annoiato quasi da subito, ma mi sentivo obbligata a finirlo perché ormai avevo speso dei soldi. Unico lato positivo: vorrei tanto andare al festival di Edinburgo adesso!

Extremely interesting book, for one thing because it begins to point out the differences between the various types of insomnia and especially about the fact that not everyone needs 8 hours of sleep.
I also liked the "self-help" part, but I couldn't tell how effective it is because fortunately I haven't needed it, yet.
Libro estremamente interessante, intanto perché comincia a sottolineare le differenze tra i vari tipi di insonnia e soprattutto sul fatto che non tutti hanno bisogno di 8 ore di sonno.
Mi é piaciuta anche la parte di "auto-aiuto", ma non saprei dire quanto sia efficace perché per fortuna non ne ho avuto bisogno, ancora.

Slightly better than the last one, but only because we have some plot here, together with endless sex scene due to the fact that there are two couples in this book. Still wandering if I'm going to read the next one, this mate/alpha macho man stuff had his time.
Leggermente migliore dell'ultimo, ma solo perché abbiamo un po' di storia che intervalla le infinite scene di sesso, dovute anche al fatto che ci sono ben due coppie in questo libro. Non sono ancora sicura se leggere il prossimo o meno, é come se tutta questa pugnetta infinita del compagno della vita che contemporaneamente sembra essere la parodia di macho man abbia fatto ormai il suo corso.

As I've said previously, for me there are few things better than a book about books. This was a nice list of previously released books divided by some sort of categories by the author, and for me a nice way to get some new titles for my never ending "to read" list.
Come ho giá affermato in precedenza, ritengo ci siano poche cose migliori di un libro sui libri. Questa é una lista molto carina di libri giá pubblicati, suddivisi in categorie piú o meno plausibili scelte dall'autrice, che mi ha permesso di implementare la mia giá infinita "lista dei libri da leggere".

The Three Monarchs (Sherlock Holmes #1.5) by Anthony Horowitz

Since I read House of Silk I decided that Moriarty should have been the next book I would read by Horowitz, not my fault if there's also this little divertissment on the road to the second installment of this series ;) As usual Sherlock Holmes is always the best, ever.
Da quando ho letto House of Silk ho deciso che avrei anche comprato Moriarty di Horowitz, ma siccome l'autore ha deciso di scrivere anche questo piccolo divertissment, non mi potevo esimere. Come al solito Sherlock Holmes é sempre il migliore.
