I liked this third book, which ends the trilogy or the first trilogy, we will see. Evie uses the old trick to fight the king of Morta and that thing was not so much to my liking, but all the rest of the book was pretty good, even if not as good as the first two.

Questo terzo libro mi é piaciuto, ma non mi ha fatto impazzire e ora staremo a vedere se é la fine della prima trilogia o LA FINE. Anche per sconfiggere il re di Morta Evie usa il vecchio trucco, ma ammetto che non mi é piaciuto tanto come escamotage, perché ormai me lo aspettavo. Resta comunque un buon finale, anche se non bello come i primi due.

I love Devlin, I love Hero and I love Jervis also, I know I'm not normal, specially about this last one; I actually prefer Sebastain since he has married Hero and she is just as strong as he is. In this new investigation we have disappearing heads, forgotten brother, coast mongers and kings, kings everywhere. I'm soooo looking forward to the next book where we may find some new information about my favorite Viscount's past.

Amo Devlin, amo Hero e anche di Jervis sono innamorata, so di non essere normale, specialmente per quest'ultimo; devo ammettere che da quando ha sposato Hero, Sebastian mi piace molto di piú e lei é proprio la persona forte che gli serviva. In questa nuova indagine abbiamo teste che scompaiono, fratelli dimenticati, fruttivendoli e re, re ovunque. Non vedo l'ora di leggere il prossimo libro dove forse posso venire a sapere qualcosa di piú sul passato del mio visconte preferito.

A delicate historical romance, not so much "Ton" in this book even if.... Fell and Sophia are two good characters and the plot is not so unbelievable, also the quota of drama is perfect. It seemed to me a sort of old romance, where there is no speaking about sex and everything is more "pure". Good book.

Un delicato romanzo d'amore storico, anche se avrei potuto parlare di un regency, ma di alta società ce n'è proprio poca in questo libro, anche se....Fell e Sophia sono due buoni personaggi e anche la trama, per quanto stiracchiata, non é completamente incredibile, inoltre la "quantità di dramma" é perfetta. Sembra quasi un romance d'altri tempi questi, dove il sesso viene vagamente accennato e tutto é molto piú "puro" e centrato sui sentimenti. Bel libro.

ust as good as the first one, with the exception that this installment ends with a cliffhanger, which is something I really hate and I really hope that the third one comes as soon as possible. The adventures of Tess and Shade, plus all the crew of the Endeavour, reached a turning point and I cannot wait to see how is it going to end.

Bello come il primo, nessuna flessione, ritmo alto e grossi colpi di scena, unica pecca il finale che "non finisce" ed é una cosa che odio. Spero davvero quindi, che il prossimo arrivi molto velocemente. Le avventure di Tess e Shade, assieme a tutto l'Equipaggio dell'Endeavour, hanno raggiungo un punto di svolta fondamentale e non vedo l'ora di sapere come va a finire il tutto.

Well written and with a convoluted plot that I really appreciated. Cain and Ella had good chemistry but too many brothers in my opinion ;) We have other three stories to wait for, so I am happy!

Ben scritto e con una trama interessante, il che é stato molto apprezzato in un mondo dove non é facile....Cain ed Ella fanno scintille, ma secondo me hanno troppi fratelli ;) Comunque restano come minimo tre storie da leggere, il che mi rende felice!

This book bored me and I couldn't even explain the reason why. Maybe I didn't like the two protagonists so much, maybe the plot was pretty obvious, maybe a set of many things, but I have to say that when I read the last page I was happy.

Questo libro mi ha annoiato e non saprei nemmeno spiegare la ragione. Forse i due protagonisti non mi piacevano poi tanto, forse la trama era piuttosto scontata, forse un insieme di tante cose, ma devo dire che quando ho letto l'ultima pagina sono stata contenta.

I must admit that I liked right away Nora and Federick, mostly because she is not the usual character that is associated with the heroines of novels regency. They also have a shared past and is therefore easier for me to imagine that their feelings were not then so immediate and not credible, as often happens in these novels where everybody seems to be lovestruck and falls immediately and totally in love.

Devo ammettere che Nora e Federick mi sono piaciuti subito, anche perché lei non é il solito personaggio che si associa alle eroine dei romanzi regency. Inoltre hanno un passato condiviso ed é quindi stato per me piú facile immaginare che i loro sentimenti non fossero poi cosí immediati e poco credibili, come spesso avviene in questi romanzi in cui sembra che regni sovrano il colpo di fulmine.

I enjoy reading books on decluttering, especially wide-ranging as this, because the confusion is mostly mental, and then affects the world around us. Interesting, easy, well written and full of helpful suggestions to be implemented immediately, but always according to the theory of small steps.

Mi piace molto leggere libri sul decluttering, specialmente quelli ad ampio raggio come questo, perché la confusione é soprattutto mentale, che poi si riflette sul mondo intorno a noi. Interessante, facile, ben scritto e pieno di utili suggerimenti da mettere in atto immediatamente, ma sempre secondo la teoria dei piccoli passi.

I really like this series, "The playful brides" are not your usual regency romance, the girls have spirit and the characters are intense. This time it was finally Jane's book, as a bookworm, she is since the beginning my favorite. Garret is also a very likable character so I read this book in one night and I regret nothing ;)

Mi piace davvero tanto questa serie, i cui libri non sono il solito regency romance, le ragazze hanno spirito e i personaggi sono ben descritti e hanno un qualche livello di profonditá. Questo inoltre, era finalmente il libro dedicato a Jane, l'intellettuale topo di biblioteca, da sempre il mio preferito tra le ragazze. Anche Garrett non é male come "eroe", quindi ammetto di aver letto questo volume in un'unica sessione notturna, ma non me ne pento.

La storia del ventenne Tahar Ben Jelloun, che per aver osato manifestare contro il governo viene punito in un campo militare per 18 mesi, non mi ha insegnato qualcosa di piú soltanto sulla vita di uno dei miei autori preferiti, ma anche sulla storia del Marocco. Difficile da dimenticare.

Interesting especially for the part that indicates how the food should be, in some cases treated as a dependency, especially in cases in which hyperalimentation is constant and continuous i.e. cravings. The diet seems quite feasible even if, for the average Italian, to erase bread, pasta, flour, rice and potatoes from his everyday meal could be quite difficult.

Interessante soprattutto per la parte che indica come anche il cibo dovrebbe essere, in alcuni casi trattato come una dipendenza, specialmente nei casi in cui l'iperalimentazione é costante e continua. La dieta sembra abbastanza fattibile anche se per l'italiano medio cancellare pane, pasta, farina, riso e patate potrebbe essere piuttosto difficile.

It is probably a great book, but I suffered reading it. The sentences are difficult, the language is mixed with dialect, the stories are intertwined and the timeline is confusing, going always back and forward. Plus it is set in Kenya that has a story that I completely ignore and that was also a problem.

Questo é probabilmente un bel libro, ma io ho sofferto nel leggerlo e per finirlo. Le frasi sono difficili, l'inglese é mischiato con l'africano e anche le storie si intrecciano in un continuo cambiamento della linea temporale. Inoltre é ambientato in Kenya, la cui storia io ignoro totalmente.

Non é certo il miglior DeLillo che abbia mai letto, l'ho trovato piuttosto confuso e poco legato nelle varie vicende che vedono collegate i personaggi. Comunque, per quanto difficilmente potrei gridare al capolavoro, le parti che raccontano le vicissitudini dello scrittore, delle sue difficoltá, della sofferenza dello scrivere e del suo rapporto con il suo editor sono particolarmente dense di significati. Molto postmodernista il fatto di leggere di una New York prima della caduta delle torri gemelle, di Yasser Arafat e della guerra/guerriglia a Beirut, avrei dovuto leggerlo prima, anche se cronologicamente parlando mi sembrava che il reverendo Moon fosse molto piú recente dei primi anni '90, ma magari é solo tornato in auge grazie a Milingo.

Nice reading even if I do not like so much when the author uses so much of the Scottish brood, I'm not really used to it and it is difficult for me to understand, from time to time.

A nice book that informs about some philosophers and authors from s "botanical" point of view. What were Jane Austen's favourite flowers, and why Marcel Proust wrote with three bonsai in his room? Many of these things I didn't know and they were helpful to know something diffrent from the usual stuff one generally knows about famous writers and Philosophers; for example the problem Nietzsche had with his eyes or the disappointment Sarte felt for himself when he was 30, shows under a different light some of their works. Well written and fun to read.
Un piccolo e divertente saggio che racconta di filosofi e scrittori dal punto di vista "botanico". Quali erano i fiori preferiti di Jane Austen e perché Marcel Proust aveva tre bonsai nella stanza dove scriveva/abitava? Tante delle cose qui riportante non le consocevo e sono state utili per conoscere questi personaggi da un altro punto di vista, come per esempio sapere del problema di Nietzsche agli occhi e i sentimenti di Sartre verso se stesso quando aveva 30 anni, gettano una nuova luce su alcune delle loro opere. Ben scritto e facile da leggere.

I have to admit that as usual, my high expectations led me to a mini disappointment, also because the stories I liked the most are the ones I had already read (the nose and the coat) not that I could not expect it anyway..... But this book is a good way to explore one of the most unknown Russian writer of the 1800.

Devo ammettere che come al solito, le mie alte aspettative mi hanno portato ad una mini delusione, anche perché le storie che mi sono piaciute di piú sono anche quelle che avevo giá letto (il naso ed il cappotto) non che uno non se lo potesse proprio aspettare comunque....Questo libro resta comunque un modo rapido per scoprire uno degli autori russi piú sconosciuti del 1800.

This interesting essay is very well written and I'm so sorry that I missed so many of its references to books, movies, music and so on, but still it was totally worth reading.

Questo saggio molto interessante é ben scritto e quello che piú mi dispiace é di essermi persa tantissimi riferimenti a film, musica e libri che non conoscevo, nonostante questo peró é valsa la pena leggerlo.
