Another book where love is found out of the ton, so another good plot from one of my favorite author in one of my favorite series. Regina and Daffin are two good people and together they seem to be a good couple, but sparks are hidden under the ash and between the handcuffs ;)

Un altro libro regency dove l'amore si trova al di fuori dell'alta società e questo porta ad una storia in un certo senso innovativa, da parte di una delle mie scrittrici preferite. Regina e Daffin sono una bella coppia, ma le scintille si nascondono sotto la cenere e tra le manette ;)

I was not sure about the reason that made me chose this book to read, but in the end I understood: it packed so much drama that I was so happy.....I really am a sucker for love stories with a lot of drama in it, and this was full: bad childhood, terrible parents, stepmother to an adolescent, practical marriage and so on, and in the end I enjoyed this reading :)

Usually I'm a lover of Lora Leigh and are also quite used to her constant use / abuse of sex scenes, this time however I think she exaggerated because in addition to the typical alpha male and female ultra beta (unbearable) the book completely lacks a plot worthy of note because the story is constantly interrupted by the sex scenes more or less justified or justifiable only to mask a complete lack of ideas. Maybe it would be to go back to writing less books, but better.

Di solito sono un'amante di Lora Leigh e sono anche piuttosto abituata al suo costante uso/abuso di scene di sesso, stavolta comunque credo che abbia esagerato perché oltre al tipico maschio alfa e femmina ultra beta (veramente insopportabile) manca completamente una trama degna di nota perché la storia viene costantemente interrotta da amplessi piú o meno giustificati o giustificabili se non come una completa mancanza di idee. Magari sarebbe il caso di tornare a scrivere qualche libro di meno. ma migliore in termini assoluti.

I liked this book a lot, even if in the middle of it I just got a little bit bored. The story of a book trough almost 600 hundred years, from the first painter to the last owner, was really brilliant and it showed the world and its story from a different point of view. I think I will try to read some other books from this author.

Questo libro mi é piaciuto un sacco, anche se verso la metà ha avuto un leggero cedimento, ma poi si é ripreso alla grande. La storia di un libro attraverso quasi 600 anni di storia d'Europa, dalla prima pittrice a l'ultimo proprietario, permette di vedere il tutto da un differente punto di vista. Credo che leggerò altri libri di questa autrice.

This book is a collection of clinical cases of dr. Yalom and I would recommend it to all my colleagues because sometimes even psychoanalysts are able to be emphatic ;) Apart from this, the theme of the book is death and the various mode that people use to deal with it, whether it is real or imagined. Stunning and interesting.

Questo libro é una raccolta di casi terapeutici del dott. Yalom e lo consiglierei a tutti i miei colleghi perché a volte anche gli psicoanalisti riescono ad essere empatici ;) A parte questo, il tema del libro é la morte e le varie modalitá che le persone mettono in atto per affrontarla, sia che sia reale sia immaginata. Impressionante ed interessante.

This book seriously disappointed me due to the fact that mostly is not well written, it seems to me in serious need of a good editing. The story is flat and boring and the culprit was pretty clear to me since the beginning, also because the introduction lasts fast half of the story if not more....I do not know what happened because I really like Kate but this novel is a failure.

Questo libro mi ha proprio deluso, prima di tutto perchè scritto male e sembra aver decisamente bisogno di un buon editing, inoltre la storia é piatta e noiosa, il colpevole chiaro dall'inizio e l'introduzione dura quasi metá del libro se non di piú....Non so bene cosa sia successo, anche perché di solito le storie di Kate mi piacciono molto, ma questo libro é un totale fallimento.

This book is quite new regarding to the plot as far as regency romances go, mostly because I think that I have never read about the marriage between a Duke (even if impoverished) and a seamstress, so I enjoyed it even if I thought that it was not particularly well written.

As a longtime reader of Lora Leigh, I already knew some of these stories, while others have been pleasant surprises. As usual, the author is able to describe alpha males and females in a very nice and smooth way, tying them together in stories of great effect.To be read also because they open the doors to some of her best series.

Come lettrice di lunga data di Lora Leigh, conoscevo giá alcune di queste storie, mentre altre sono stati piacevoli sorprese. Come al solito l'autrice é in grado di descrivere maschi e femmine alfa in modo molto piacevole e scorrevole, legandoli insieme in storie di grosso effetto. Da leggere anche perché aprono le porte ad alcune delle sue serie migliori.
