This time, the author attempts, through records and archives, to reconstruct the story of her paternal grandmother and how she came to be the person the author knew as a child. Perhaps precisely because it remains unclear until the very end how much is reality and how much is imagination, this book reads more smoothly than the other one—also because real life isn’t actually that turbulent, even when lived during the years of the revolution.

Stavolta la scrittrice cerca, attraverso registri ed archivi, di ricostruire la storia della nonna paterna e di come sia arrivata ad essere la persona che poi ha conosciuto lei da bambina. Forse proprio perché fino all'ultimo non si capisce quanto sia realtá e quanta immaginazione, questo libro scorre meglio dell'altro, anche perché la vita reale non é poi cosí turbolenta anche se vissuta negli anni della rivoluzione.
