Review: Yesteryear

This may not become a classic, but it’s certainly a book that will leave its mark—at least on me. Natalie’s story—and I’m not ashamed to say that I often found myself rooting for her throughout the 400 pages of her all-too-realistic tale—will stay with me for a very, very long time, along with that of her children. We are all both the architects and the victims of the stories we tell ourselves as our own.

Magari questo non diventerà un classico, ma sicuramente é un libro che lascerà il segno, quanto meno dentro di me. La storia di Natalie, con la quale e non mi vergogno a dirlo, ho spesso simpatizzato nel corso delle 400 pagine della sua piú che realistica storia, mi rimarrà in mente per molto molto tempo, assieme a quella dei suoi figli. Siamo tutti artefici e vittime delle storie che ci raccontiamo come nostre.
