Review: D: Heavy Water

D: Heavy Water D: Heavy Water by Neal Stephenson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

While I read *Polostan* very quickly and Aurora’s “voice” was interesting and multifaceted, I can’t say the same for *D (as in deuterium)* as told through Owen, who—in my opinion—becomes an interesting character only because he interacts with Aurora. That said, the first part of the book was rather tedious, full of details that weigh down the plot, which, as I mentioned, doesn’t really take off at first; it gets a little better later on, but all in all, *Polostan* was definitely better. Now I could just stop reading here, since the story of deuterium is over, but clearly the situation between Ro and O remains unresolved, and as a true serial reader, I can’t help but wait for the next volume in this series, which apparently (and unluckyiy) isn’t a trilogy.....

I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.
