Review: Laplace's Witch

Laplace's Witch by Keigo Higashino
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

It’s a really nice book, even if the pace isn’t always high, and unfortunately I tend to get a little confused by the Japanese names (my own fault). In Higashino’s typical style, a series of seemingly unrelated stories ultimately find a common thread that also explains the inexplicable. Even though it borders on the esoteric in some cases, I really appreciate the fact that the author (who, sadly, passed away recently) didn’t feel the need for a plot twist, which is a common trope in Western mysteries.

I received from the Publisher a complimentary digital advanced review copy of the book in exchange for a honest review.
