I'm a sucker for Victorian novel and this one has the right mix of suspance and love, so I was a goner after 10 pages. The plot is thick and the characters well depicted, plus they have chemistry together. Ursula is a free woman, as far as that age consents, but Slater is even better, the dark knight in the shiny armor and their story is as good as in any romance.
Mi piacciono tantissimo le storie ambientate nella Londa vittoriana e questa, inoltre, ha il giusto mix di suspance e romance, quindi dopo 10 pagine ero giá persa. La trama regge anche se é molto convoluta e i personaggi sono ben descritti, inoltre le loro interazioni reggono. Ursula é una donna libera, per quanto quell'epoca potesse permetterlo ma Slater é proprio il prototipo del cavaliere tormentato dall'armatura luccicante che corre in soccorso di ogni damigella in difficoltá e la loro è proprio una bella storia d'amore.
