This book is a super academical essay about the life and the works of Stefan Zweig, whom, between the two world wars was one of the most famous author and then almost forgotten. I haven't read many of his works but this book gives a complete overview about them and the life he spent as a Jew before in Europe, than in New York and in the end in Brasil where he committed suicide with his wife. So I recommend this book both to people that want to deepen their knowledge of this author but also to somebody that has no idea that such an author existed.

Questo libro é un testo super accademico sulla vita e le opere di Stefan Zweig, che nel periodo tra le due guerre mondiali é stato uno degli autori piú famosi del mondo ed ora é quasi dimenticato. Io non ho letto molti dei suoi lavori, ma questo libro mi ha permesso un'occhiata globale e complessiva sia sulle sue opere che sulla sua vita da ebreo prima in Europa e poi a New York e per finire in Brasile, dove si é suicidato assieme alla seconda moglie. Quindi io lo raccomanderei sia a chi vuole approfondire la conoscenza di questo scrittore, sia a chi non ha nemmeno idea di chi sia.
