The author starts talking about all the house she changed and How could I not empathize with her? But that's not the only reason why I loved this book, another one are the story behind this family and the last, but not least, are the photos. If you like interior design but do not have so much money, this book is the right one.
L'autrice comincia parlando di tutte le case che ha cambiato, quindi come potevo io non empatizzare con lei? Ma non é questa la sola ragione per cui ho apprezzato il libro, un'altra é la storia di questa famiglia e la terza sono le bellissime foto. Se vi piace il design, ma non siete ricchi, questo é il libro che fa per voi.

Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail by Cheryl Strayed

I liked this book a lot, even if she was so naive that as a former boy scout I kept on reading just because I was sure she was not death (as she wrote this memoir), but still it was really scary all the many ways she was not ready for this journey. But she did it, and mostly out of sheer determination, so, in a way I envied her because it really takes a strong woman to do that. Go Cheryl, you are an example!
Mi è piaciuto parecchio questo libro, anche se come ex boy scout, tutti i modi in cui lei non era assolutamente pronta per questo viaggio mi hanno quasi terrorizzato, ho continuato a leggere solo perché, con il libro tra le mani ero sicura che non fosse morta...Ma ce l'ha fatta, e la maggior parte guidata solo da una determinazione piú o meno assoluta e ci vuole una donna forte per fare quello che ha fatto lei. Vai Cheryl, sei un esempio!

The perfect handbook for the housewife, carpenter, electrician, washerwoman, gardener and farmer. Interesting but not to read in one sitting, but to search for the solution of every problem.
Il manuale perfetto per la casalinga, carpentiere, elettricista, lavandaia, giardiniere e fattore. Interessante a patto che non si legga tutti di seguito, resta comunque il posto pefetto per trovare la soluzione ad ogni problema.

I'm so sorry to say that, in the end, this book was such a disappointment....The first part was really enjoyable and I read it at a fast pace, but the last two hundred pages almost killed me, because they were so boring and it seemed to me that the author didn't have the solution to end the book and she was writing casually. And after years of Shannara I can't stand speaking trees anymore I have to admit, so I take all the responsability.
Devo ammettere che questo libro, che sembrava cosí carino all'inizio, mi ha annoiato a morte e mi ha deluso dopo le prime duecento pagine; per finirlo sono quasi stramazzata dalla noia e avevo la netta impressione che l'autrice stesse procedendo a caso per prove ed errori, come se lei per prima non avesse pronto il finale. Inoltre dopo anni di Shannara gli alberi parlanti non li sopporto proprio, quindi é tutta colpa mia e non della scrittrice.

As a professional I appreciate a good effort to "show" people how something complicated works, specially because psychoanalysis is really complicated. So I liked this book, and I'm probably going to read (if I find it here in Germany) the book written by the same author for professional. So if you want to have a glimpse about the therapy of the unconscious, this book could be the right one.
Come professionista, apprezzo molto lo sforzo di "mostrare ai profani" come funziona una cosa difficile, specialmente perché la psicoanalisi é veramente complicata. Quindi questo libro mi é piaciuto e siccome l'autore scrove bene, se lo trovo qui in Germania, non mi dispiacerebbe leggere anche il libro che ha scritto per gli psicoanalisti. Quindi se vorreste cercare di capire almeno le basi della terapia dell'incoscio, questo potrebbe essere il libro giusto per voi.

Such an interesting book so easily written and explained it's not so easy to find. Everything from universe to morality (going trough fractals and biology) or anything you are wondering right now, I was so happy to read this book that I'm going to recommend it to everybody I know.
Un libro chiarissmo e decisamente molto interessante non é poi cosí facile da trovare, quindi sono entusiasta di aver avuto la possibilitá di leggere questo, che spazia dall'universo alla morale, passando per i frattali e la biologia senza sluzione di continuitá e offre una seplice panoramica sul tutto, tanto che lo consiglieró a chiunqe.

As a long time reader of Maya Banks I appreciate the effort of writing something new, but this time Eliza was such a bipolar that I didn't appreciate the strong heroine so much, it could have been better, and even Wade was excessive. Maybe it's because I haven't read the previous books in this series, I don't know, but she can do better than that.
Come lettrice di Maya Banks di lunghissima data, apprezzo lo sforzo che ha fatto per scrivere qualcosa di nuovo e diverso, ma Eliza era talmente bipolare che non mi é piaciuta nonostante fosse "teoricamente" un'eroina piuttosto tosta, e anche Wade era eccessivo. Forse questo é dovuto al fatto che non ho letto i precedenti tre libri di questa serie, non lo so, ma sono sicura che l'autrice possa fare di meglio.

It's good to find a book where a coach enlists all her mistakes instead of pushing us to be better like she is, I found it illuminating and much more closer to my experience as a person and as a psychotherapist and that's also the reason why I liked this book a lot even if, in the end, there were no special new information or ways to deal with eating, diets and body issues.
È veramente una buona cosa trovare un libro dove un coach fa una lista di tutti i suoi errori invece che sottolineare quanto e come potremmo migliorare, mi é sembrato molto piú utile e soprattutto piú vicino alla mia esperienza sia personale che professionale e forse anche la ragione per cui mi é piaciuto tanto, nonostante le informazioni su peso, immagine corporea e dieta fossero poi sempre le stesse.

I was not familiar with The Incal at all, and I loved this story. It's a good thing I was unaware that Jodorowsky came up with it, because given my dislike of him, I would not have read this graphic novel and that would have been a shame.
Non conoscevo affatto l'Incal e questa storia mi é piaciuta tantissimo. Per fortuna che ignoravo l'avesse ideato Jodorowsky, perché, considerata la mia antipatia nei suoi confronti, non avrei letto questa graphic novel e sarebbe stato un vero peccato.

More than a book about love, this is a book about relationships, basically friendships. Harriett and Wyn have a beautiful romance until they don't anymore. Their friends are tied to the past and struggle to find each other in the present. I like how the author managed to tell the story with the many flashbacks without driving me crazy and managing to give a style to each of the six key characters, but by the end I was a little tried by the weight of the plot.
Piú che un libro d'amore, questo é un libro sulle relazione, fondamentalmente quelle amicali. Harriett e Wyn hanno una bella storia d'amore fino a quando non ce l'hanno piú. I loro amici sono legati al passato e faticano a trovarsi nel presente. Mi piace come l'autrice sia riuscita a raccontare la storia con i tanti flashback senza farmi impazzire e riuscendo a dare uno stile a ciascuno dei sei personaggi fondamentali, ma alla fine ero un po' provata dalla pesantezza della trama.

I'm seriously bored by this series, but as a long time fan (I started right from the start and never forget a short stories or a novel) it's sad for me to decide to quit, so I just keep on being disappointed. Please Mrs Feehan, find a solution and bring this story to an end, your most faithful reader will be forever grateful to you.
Sono seriamente annoiata da questa serie, ma come lettrice compulsiva smettere mi é precluso, quindi continua la delusione. Per favore Sig.ra Feehan, termina la serie in qualche modo, la tua fedele lettrice te ne sará per sempre riconoscente.

Langsam, schwer und langweilig. Ich bleibe davon überzeugt, dass die besten Werke von Oz nicht mehr als 300 Seiten sein mussen, mit Ausnahme von "Eine Geschichte von Liebe und Finsternis".
Lento, pesante e noioso. Resto dell'idea che i migliori lavori di Oz non superino le 300 pagine con l'esclusione di "Storia d'amore e ombra".

Even if I don't usually like short stories, I loved this 4 because I love the psy-changeling world and Nalini Singh.
Anche se di solito i racconti non mi piacciono, questi quattro sono al solito molto carini, perché io adoro il mondo Psy changeling e tutto quello che scrive Nalini Singh.
