Very interesting specially in the part that relates thyroid problems and adrenal glands problems. The association to Epstein-Barr syndrome I read about, but the results of the research are still confused and not clear. Anyway I will try to go as Paleo as I can, all things considered I'm Italian.....

Molto interessante, specialmente nella parte che collega i problemi della tiroide con quelli delle ghiandole surrenali. Inoltre, anche se conoscevo le associazioni con la mononucleosi i risultati a riguardo non sono ancora chiari. Comunque cercheró di mangiare paleo il piú possibile, ma resta sempre il fatto che sono italiana.....

This book seemed to me a new Clelestin Profecy without a lot of rubbish new age of course, but its inclusion of everything from Buddhsm, Indhuism, Cristian in the form of Jesus, Pearl's Gestalt, Eric Berne's theory of the script, Viktor Frankl's Logotherapy, Scheme's Theory by Horowitz and Jung's Sinchronicity seemed to me a way to make everybody happy. But I can understand the fascination it can have on somebody who hasn't study psychotherapy and may think this miscellany a wonderful new idea.

Questo libro mi ha fatto lo stesso effetto de "La teoria di Celestino", ma senza tante ridicole idee new age; chiaramente peró se metti insieme le idee del buddismo, induismo e cristianesimo nella forma di Gesú, aggiungendoci la Teoria della Gestalt di Fritz Pearls, la teoria del copione di Eric Berne e la logoterapia di Viktor Frankl, piú quella degli schemi di Horowitz e, per non farsi mancare niente anche il concetto di sincronicitá di Jung io capisco come tutto questo possa essere molto affascinante, ma per chiunque non abbia studiato psicoterapia e consideri il tutto una fantastica nuova idea.

Not the best book by Hamid, who is one of my favorite author, but still a good book, well told and full of insights about the life of the reach of the poor in Lahore. I would have loved another ending anyway.

Non il miglior libro di Hamid, che resta comunque uno dei miei autori preferiti, ma ben narrato e pieno di informazioni sulla vita a Lahore dei ricchi e dei poveri. Mi sarebbe comunque piaciuto in finale diverso.

If the first book was simple, this one is almost banal, it's like reading the instruction written for a three years old kid. I'm still a little bit shocked about the success of Marie Kondō, but I'm sure mine is only jealousy and envy.

Se il primo libro era semplice, questo é proprio banale, sembra di leggere le istruzioni lasciate da una madre al figlio di tre anni. Sono sempre piú sconvolta quindi dal successo di Marie Kondō, ma sono anche sicura che la mia sia solo gelosia ed invidia.

I like Devlin, but his searching for his origins are lasting a little bit too much for my taste, and he is like Angela Landsbury in "Murder she wrote" wherever he goes somebody dies, tragically, and sometimes, like this time, more than one.

Devlin é un personaggio che mi piace parecchio, ma ormai la sua ricerca del padre sta durando un po' troppo per i miei gusti, anche perché, esattamente come "La signora in giallo", ovunque vada c'é gente che muore male, e a volte, come stavolta per esempio, non sono nemmeno pochi.

Unfortunately, this book is rather confusingly written, with a barrage of characters making their appearance at once, which, combined with the chapters being told from different points of view, made reading this book a struggle rather than a pleasure.
Surely others will like it because it is not superficial and deals with rather important issues as well, but personally I couldn't wait to finish it.

Purtroppo questo libro é scritto in modo piuttosto confuso, con una marea di personaggi che fanno la loro comparsa contemporaneamente e che, uniti ai capitoli raccontati da diversi punti di vista, hanno reso la lettura di questo libro una battaglia piuttosto che un piacevole divertimento.
Sicuramente ad altri piacerá perché non é superficiale e tratta temi anche piuttosto importanti, ma personalmente non vedevo l'ora di finirlo.

I usually like small town romances quite a bit, as well as the topoi where the almost enemies who become lovers although here the rivalry was almost absent. Unfortunately, however, everything else seemed rather boring and didn't entertain me as much as I had hoped.
Maybe I expected more love for the books or I don't know what else, but okay, surely that's my problem.

Di solito gli small town romance mi piacciono parecchio, cosí come il topoi dove i quasi nemici che diventano poi amanti anche se qui la rivalitá era quasi assente. Purtroppo peró tutto il resto mi é sembrato piuttosto noioso e non mi ha divertito quando speravo.
Magari mi aspettavo piú amore per i libri o non saprei cos'altro, ma ok, sicuramente é un problema mio.

The main character of this book, Lucy Snowe, is an hysterical woman whom would have made Freud super pride. It seemed to me, most of the times, that instead of reading a Victorian novel , I fell into a Russian drama; so I was disappointed, but mostly bored till the point of thinking, many times, to give up the book. But then I decided to finish it, and even in the end, in the last 20 sentences, sadness was waiting for me, I mean dear Charlotte, attitude is almost everything, no wonder you had such a sad life....

La principale protagonista di questo libro: Lucy Snowe, é una donna talmente isterica che Freud, ai vecchi tempi, sarebbe stato orgoglioso di lei. La maggior parte del tempo, piú che un classico vittoriano, sembrava di leggere uno di quei drammoni russi, tipo "I demoni"; quindi sono rimasta delusa, ma soprattutto annoiata a morte, al punto di pensare ripetutamente di mollare il libro. Ma poi ho deciso di finirlo e anche alla fine, quando quasi si poteva intravedere un barlume di felicitá, l'autrice me lo nega....voglio dire, cara Charlotte, che l'atteggiamento é importante, poi uno si spiega perché hai avuto una vita triste....

As I'm right now much more focused on the story between Eden and the Sectors, I found the relationship between Dylan, Scarlett, Mad and Jade not interesting, too much drama going on, but still this series are one of my favorite ever.

Siccome a questo punto della serie, mi interessa molto di piú la guerra tra Eden ed i Settori, la relazione tra Dylan, Scarlett, Mad e Jade mi ha lasciato parecchio indifferente ( e poi c'era troppo dramma), comunque questa di Kit Rocha resta una delle mie letture preferite.
