Japanese Animation: East Asian Perspectives by Masao Yokota (Editor), Tze-Yue G Hu (Editor)

Japanese Animation: East Asian Perspectives by Masao Yokota
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This book is really for Japanese animation experts, it starts from various mix between the Japanese post-war history and evolution of manga, to get up to the various characters and their connotations more or less Gothic. Particularly interesting was the excursus on the mixed couples (he japanese /she non-Japanese) in anime and manga and characters with no Asian connotations.

THANKS TO NETGALLEY AND UNIVERSITY PRESS OF MISSISSIPI FOR THE PREVIEW!

Da Kenshiro a Sasuke by Enrico Cantino

My rating: 3 of 5 stars
