It was unbelievably boring and this is strange because I usually like Kasey Michaels a lot and I don't understand what has happened with this book to make me think it was not even worthy to finish it. Maybe the next one, but I don't know if I will keep on reading this new series.

Stranamente, considerato che di solito Kasey Michaels mi piace molto, ho trovato questo libro mortalmente noioso e davvero non capisco come mai, ma é stato una fatica riuscire a finirlo. Magari il prossimo sará meglio, ma attualmente non sono convinta che continueró questa nuova serie.

Neve and Ian are two good characters, but still I found this story full of cliches so in the end it was like I have already read it before, pity because it had the cards to be something more than the usual stuff. Anyway now I'm longing to read about Hannah and Brandon!

Neve e Ian sono due protagonisti niente male, ma la storia era cosí piena di cliché che mi sembrava di averla giá letta mille volte, un vero peccato perché scritta diversamente era in grado di essere molto piú interessante. Comunque ora non vedo l'ora di leggere il libro su Hannah e Brandon!

Ci sono libri che per forza di cose restano in mente, e questo sará uno di quelli. In un futuro nemmeno troppo impensabile, anzi, e in una San Francisco che non conosco per niente, il futuro diventa opprimente e privo di speranza a meno che tu non sia un hacker, e siccome io non sono un hacker, la cosa mi preoccupa parecchio.

Sabrina York wrote a second book as good as the first one and so I'm really in love with this series. Hanna was a really good heroine, but Susanna is even better, Andrew not so much (I can't believe he didn't recognize her at all) but still the book works. Isabel is the best of them all in my opinion anyway. Let's wait for the third one, and maybe when the sisters are finished we can settle down all the friends also, for exmple Hamish ;)

Sabrina York é riuscita a scrivere un secondo libro carino quanto il primo e quindi questa serie mi sta piacendo molto. Se Hanna era un buon personaggio, Susanne é pure meglio, peccato per Andrew (perché non ci posso credere che non la riconoscesse per niente) peró il libro funziona lo stesso. Ora mi manca il terzo e magari, qundo le sorelle sono finite, si potrebbero sistemare gli amici tipo Hamish ;)

Obviously it is not so easy, as she distrusts every man after the behaviur of er ex-husband but who is this really nice guy head over heels with her? A very famous layer or somebody with a dark past in the northern territory?
A christmas story that is nice to read. Merry Christmas!


La storia riguarda una donna triste e divorziata che incontra un elfo di babbo natale ai grandi magazzini e se ne innamora. Ovviamente non é cosí semplice anche perché lei non si fida piú degli uomini dopo l'aberrante comportamento del suo ex marito, ma chi é veramente questo tizio che le dice di essersi innamorato di lei quasi immediatamente? Un famoso avvocato o una persona dall'oscuro passato?
Una storia di natale che é carina da leggere, quindi: Buon Natale!

I'm a "long time friend" with Jorge Cruise because is more than 5 or 6 years that I do my 8 minutes in the morning routine so I was happy to see there was his new book out and I wasn't disappointed. As an expert in eating disorders I was already aware of all the problems connected to a complete vegan nutrition style, but this idea, well explained, to eat began only for breakfast is really good and easy to stick to. There are of course a lot of explanations, the exercise to add and the recipes are fantastic!

Conosco da tempo Jorge Cruise perché é da qualche anno che seguo la sua "routine degli 8 minuti" e quindi sono stata contenta di poter leggere il suo nuovo libro in anteprima e non sono rimasta delusa. Come "esperta" di disturbi del comportamento alimentare ero giá al corrente di tutte le eventuali problematiche legato ad uno stile alimentare completamente vegano, ma questa idea, tra l'altro ben spiegata, di mangiare solo la colazione completamente vegana, mi sembra buona e piuttosto facile da seguire. Ci sono inoltre molte chiare spiegazioni, la routine di esercizi da aggiungere e le ricette con fantastiche foto!

Some of them are so easy you wonder why you didn't think about doing that before, some others are not so easy but getting gradually to them smooth things. Not your usual motivational book and not even the usual diet+exercise, which is something I really appreciate :)

30 trucchi o modifiche da introdurre nella vita di tutti i giorni per perdere peso senza smettere di mangiare. Alcuni sono talmente elementari che portano a chiedersi come mai non ci abbiamo mai pensato prima, altri non sono poi cosí fattibili nell'immediato, ma arrivandoci per gradi non sono niente di straordinario. Non il solito libro motivazionale e nemmeno la dieta con le ricette, quindi lo apprezzo molto.

This collection of stories I liked, even though I have some big bias against the length of the stories which in itself has always seemed to me insufficient.

Some of these are good, others less so, other wonderful and I will remember for a long time. The author divides this collection into two parts of which the second collects the stories that have to do with the 5 senses and every one is better than the other.

Questa collezione di storie mi é piaciuta nonostante io abbia dei grossi preconcetti nei confronti della durata delle storie che di per sé mi é sempre sembrata insufficiente.

Alcune di queste sono belle, altre meno, altre meravigliose e mi resteranno in mente. L'autore suddivide questa raccolta in due parti di cui la seconda raccoglie le storie che hanno a che fare con i 5 sensi e non ne scarterei nemmeno una.

I don't know why, because I usually like her books enough, but this time Courtney Milan disappointed me and I found this book boring and appalling. Judith and Christian were, in my opinion, totally unbelievable as characters and, even if the plot was interesting, at last reading the blurb, in the end I was looking forward to the end.

Non so come mai, considerato che di solito i suoi libri mi piacciono molto, ma stavolta Courtney Milan mi ha proprio deluso e questo libro é di una noia mortale. Judith e Christian, per il loro passato, ma anche per il presente, non sono affatto credibili come personaggi e anche se la trama, inizialmente almeno, sembrava interessante, alla fine non vedevo l'ora di chiudere il libro.

Piccola storia fatta fondamentalmente per mediare il passaggio da parte dell'autrice all'autopubblicazione. Le daró un'ultima chance, ma temo che questa serie abbia giá detto tutto quello che aveva da dire, anche se mi dispiace perché Dragos e Pia sono da sempre due dei miei personaggi preferiti.

Great first book (now I have to read the others) in a dystopian serie, with a great cast of characters and full of surprises. Arthur and Emma are very well depicted and, even if sometimes she is just too far from her feelings, what is happening all around is still really interesting. So it is not the perfect book if you are looking for the perfect love story and HEA but still is a really great book.

Gran primo libro per una serie (ora saró costretta a leggere anche gli altri) distopica con un grande cast di personaggi e piena di soprese. Arthur ed Emma sono ben descritti e anche se a volte lei é troppo "distante" dai suoi sentimenti, tutto quello che accade intorno a loro rende la storia comunque interessante. Quindi non é proprio il libro perfetto se state cercando la perfetta storia d'amore con il lieto fine, ma resta comunque un buon libro!

Interesting but read everything below is rather boring, so I recommend you really read a meditation a day.

Libro che raccoglie delle brevi meditazioni da leggersi ogni giorno per tutto l'anno per riflettere, con l'aiuto della yoga inteso piú come forma di filosofia che di ginnastica, sul modo in cui potremmo diventare persone migliori. Interessante ma letto tutto di seguito risulta piuttosto noioso, quindi vi consiglio di leggere davvero una meditazione al giorno.

This book was really hard to understand, mostly because I'm not a literature teacher at any level, and I'm not even English mother tongue. Anyway what I understood was really interesting and this book really shows how to improve your teaching skills using books, as it says: "...we’ve looked at the different ways teachers can implement four “Core of the Core” ideas in the classroom. By having students read harder texts, close read rigorously to establish and analyze meaning, read lots of nonfiction, and write in direct response to written works, teachers can go a long way toward ensuring their students’ preparation for and success in college. Still, in and of themselves, those four ideas do not a competent and successful reader make. There are other important and often foundational skills necessary to success in reading.

In this second part of the book, we’ll look at those pieces essential to rigorous and thorough reading instruction. We’ll focus on a combination of fundamentals—things like increasing vocabulary or sharpening expressive reading skills—and the process of developing positive habits and systems to make classrooms more effective and efficient in supporting student success. Bella storia breve dove i protagonisti sono Julie e Derek e alla fine tutto quello che desideravo era di vederli insieme e sperare che Ilona Andrews salti qualche anno durante la narrazione dei suoi libri. Un warlock cattivo, un grosso cacciatore ed una pietra magica tutti assieme per creare una novella che allevia il tempo dell'attesa per il prossimo libro di Kate&Curran.

Very fast reading because I skip many pages, it was not so funny and the plot had too many inconsistencies, so I have to say that if they hadn't send me the book for review, I would not even ever read it. Pity because there were good premises, but I have to admit I haven't read the first two in this series.

Lettura molto veloce anche eprché ho saltato parecchie pagine, la ragione sta nel fatto che non riusciva ad essere né divertente né avvincente e non l'avrei neanche letto se non me lo avessero spedito per recensirlo. Peccato perché l'idea di base non era male, ma magari non mi é piaciuto perché non ho letto i primi due della serie.

To tell the truth this latest book by Nalini Singh did not fascinate me very much as usually happens with all the others she wrote, maybe all this talk of wars to plan and implement strategies slowed me down reading.

It must be said, however, that, whatever her book, it is usually head and shoulders ahead of all other paranormal romance in circulation and this also applies to this story.

Se devo dire la veritá questo ultimo libro di Nalini Singh non mi ha preso tantissimo come di solito tutti gli altri che ha scritto, forse tutto questo parlare di guerre da pianificare e strategie da mettere in atto mi ha rallentato la lettura.

C'é da dire che comunque qualunque suo libro resta di solito una spanna avanti a tutti gli altri paranormal romance in circolazione e vale anche per questo libro.

As this book opens with rather clear historical explanations for the codependency that tightly binds the United States and China, I would have preferred a greater ability to forecast the future and especially greater clarity with regard to all the U.S. debt that China has purchased. But maybe these explanations were there and I just do not I have understood .....

Per quanto questo libro apra a spiegazioni storiche piuttosto chiare per la codipendenza che lega strettamente Stati Uniti e Cina, avrei preferito una maggiore capacitá di previsione per il futuro e soprattutto una maggiore chiarezza riguardo a tutti i debiti americani che la Cina si é comprata. Ma magari queste spiegazioni c'erano e sono io che non le ho capite.....

Andrea Corona in questo libro è riuscito in un'opera non facile secondo me, quella di fare un excursus esaustivo, breve e chiaro, su quello che attualmente propone il mondo delle neuroscienze e quello strettamente collegato della filosofia della mente, branca relativamente nuova nata con l'evolversi della cibernetica.

Dalla Neurofilosofia alla Neuroetica (altro argomento gettonatissimo) il passo è breve ed è quindi anche utile sapere lo stato dell'arte, considerate le recenti (e meno recenti) discussioni assurte all'onore della cronaca su argomenti scottanti come la morte cerebrale e il "momento giusto" per "staccare la spina". Consigliato e consigliabile per chi voglia avere un'idea piuttosto precisa ed a largo spettro in quell'attuale Babele che potrebbe essere accomunata dal nome di Scienza della mente.

La storia non era male e nemmeno i personaggi, soltanto che le autrici la fanno troppo lunga e lui per essere un detective é veramente poco attento. Immagino che il prossimo libro sará su André e la sorella diSinead, ma staremo a vedere, non sono neanche troppo sicura di leggerlo.

I love Bronwen Evans and her characters, the libertines have a special place in my heart, but this book is something different. Darker, sadder, not your usual regency Romance, but it would be a pity to discard it only because the happy ending is not so happy in the end, it takes courage to prove something different.

Mi piacciono molto i libri di Bronwen Evans e i suoi personaggi, poi questa serie ha anche un posto speciale nel mio cuore, ma questo libro é decisamente diverso. Triste, angosciante, non il solito romanzetto d'amore regency, ma sarebbe un peccato perderselo solo perché l'happy ending non é poi cosí happy, ci vuole del coraggio per scrivere qualcosa di diverso da quello che si aspettano tutti.
