Great book, where nothig is as it seemes. During the turmoil in England in the firs half of the 16th century, a ship arrives in London full of dead people and crates full of sand. A strange story awaits those who listens to the captain who is going to die soon. This will lead another man to the end of the world (because the world really ends) and with him other people with different reasons and thinking. Well written and engaging, this is not a fantasy in the true sense of the world but still it has got all the magic that comes with hidden realms.

Grande libro, dove niente é come sembra. Durante gli sconvolgimenti della prima metá del 16° secolo in Inghilterra, un veliero arriva a Londra pieno di gente morta e carico di forzieri pieni di sabbia e sassi. Una strana storia viene poi raccontata dal capitano destinato a morire dopo un giorno. Questo porterá un altro uomo alla fine del mondo (perché il mondo finisce veramente) e con lui altre persone che lo accompagneranno per altri motivi e altri scopi. Libro ben scritto e che ti prende, senza essere un fantasy nel senso stretto del termine, ma con tutto il fascino che accompagna i reami segreti.
