Michael Chabon's the Escapists by Michael Chabon

I loved this graphic novel that comes straight out from one fo Chabon's best book. The illustrations are fantastic in rendering the sense of time passing (in comics also) and the story is good!

Mi é piaciuta molto questa graphic novel che esce direttamente da uno dei migliori libri di M.Chabon. Le illustrazioni sono magnifiche e riescono a rendere molto bene il senso del passare del tempo (anche nei fumetti) e la storia é proprio bella.

Strange strip that I came to like and appreciate even if it's full of sarcasm and drips acid from the illustrations. Not for everybody.

Strana striscia di fumetti che ormai peró sono arrivata ad apprezzare nonostante sia un distillato di acido e sarcasmo. Non per tutti comunque.

Manga Classics: The Stories of Edgar Allen Poe by Stacy King

Not the best Manga transposition I read by now, but if you haven't read E.A.Poe's most famous short stories, this could be a good introduction.

Non la migliore trasposizione manga che abbia letto fino ad ora, ma se vi serve una piccola introduzione alle migliori storie brevi scritte da Edgar Allan Poe, questo fumetto potrebbe fare al caso vostro.

John Carter: The End by Brian Wood

As a long time reader of Burrough's John Carter, I liked this comic a lot and I enjoyed going back to Mars. The illustrations are in my opinion the right one to convey the sense of oppression and sadness that is there and the dialogues, so short, perfect.

Come lettrice di lunga data della saga di John Carter di E.R.Burroughs, questo fumetto mi é piaciuto tanto e sono stata contenta di tornare su Marte per un po'. Le tavole sono ben disegnate e perfette per riflettere il senso di oppressione e tristezza che attraversa la storia, cosí come i dialoghi scarni ed essenziali.

Rough Riders Volume 1 by Adam Glass
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

In a way this comic made me think of the League of the extraordinary Gentleman even if we have different characters, real one to be precise. So it was funny and entertaining, but not exactly original.

Questo fumetto ricorda parecchio La lega degli straordinari gentleman, anche se i personaggi sono diversi e reali. Quindi é stato divertente ma non esattamente originale.
