I was fed up with Darynda Jones since the last 2 books and the first half of this one, then finally she decided that there were really too many secrets between Reyes and Charley and the story eventually got to roll and it was like the good old times. I hope she goes on writing along this road because I like her books more.
Ero stufa della piega che avevano preso gli ultimi due libri della Jones e anche la prima metá di questo mi aveva stancato parecchio, poi finalmente, l'autrice deve aver capito che i segreti tra reyes e Charley erano veramente un po' troppi e finalmente la storia é ricominciata a scorrere come avrebbe dovuto, IMHO ovviamente, e mi è sembrato di tornare ai vecchi tempi, quando avevo divorato un libro dopo l'altro. Io spero che la piega che ha preso la trama torni ad essere quella vivace e piú Urban fantasy che adoro, piuttosto che quella del romance pieno di fraintendimenti che sembrava ultimamente.

I liked Rafe and Octavia, but mostly I loved that their story overlapped with the one of Thornthon and Callista, by far my favorite couple in this installment. As usual Sara Ramsey wrote a good different story from the usual regency romance and it's a nice and entertaining reading. Now I'm looking forward to the story of Lucy.
Mi sono piaciuti Rafe ed Ottavia, ma soprattutto ho apprezzato il fatto che la loro storia si sia sovrapposta a quella di Thornthon e Callista, di gran lunga la mia coppia preferita in questa serie. Come al solito Sara Ramsey ha scritto una bella storia, diversa dai soliti romanzi d'amore regency e anche stavolta mi sono divertita a leggerla. Ora non vedo l'ora di sapere la storia di Lucy.
