Nice book, not memorable or the best he has written, mind you, but it is a big step forward compared to Mr.Mercedes. I believe that King has, I hope, for the time being put aside aspirations as a writer of thriller and is back doing what he does best: write scary stories. The setting is that of Maine, a village in which the new priest arrives with his family and the first to meet a child who is 6 years old at that time in the early 60s. Reverend and Jaimie will meet again, sometimes by accident, sometimes not, and none of their meetings will be of no consequence. Nice and I was also scared more than once.

Bel libro, non indimenticabile e il migliore che ha scritto, sia chiaro, ma resta un bel passo avanti paragonato a Mr.Mercedes. Credo che King abbia, almeno spero, per ora messo da parte le velleitá di scrittore di gialli e sia tornato a fare quello che sa fare meglio: scrivere storie di paura. L'ambientazione é quella del Maine, tanto per cambiare, un paesino in cui arriva il nuovo pastore protestante con la famiglia e incontra per primo un bambino che in quel momento ha 6 anni, sono i primi anni '60. Il reverendo e Jaimie si incontreranno di nuovo, a volte per caso e a volte no, e nessuno dei loro incontri sará privo di conseguenze. Bello e mi ha anche messo paura piú di una volta.
