Per quanto questo Batman stia meglio con la maschera che senza (ha un po' la faccia da bambascione) le illustrazioni sono molto belle e la situazione a Gotham City è completamente sfuggita di mano sia al Commissario Gordon che allo stesso Batman. Devo ammettere che dopo aver letto questo prequel ad Arkham Knight, la tentazione di comprare la PS4 per giocare all'omonimo giochino é aumentata esponenzialmente, e già inizialmente non era bassa.....

This is not a book, this is a sonnet to celebrate people's love for the books they read or are going to, all along their life. A pity that all of this people talking about books are Australian authors whom I still haven't read. Anyway this book was really good because I can empathize with almost everything that was written and I think every book lover would appreciate it.
Questo é qualcosa di piú di un libro, è piuttosto una celebrazione dell'amore delle persone per i libri che hanno letto o che leggeranno nella loro vita. Un peccato che tutti gli autori che hanno scritto un contributo per questo libro sono Australiani e non li ho mai letti, ancora. Comunque veramente un bel libro, perché era facile per me immedesimarmi in ciascuno di loro ed empatizzare con quello che avevano scritto, e come me qualunque amante dei libri.

Jasmine and Fire: A Bittersweet Year in Beirut by Salma AbdelnourMy rating: 3 of 5 stars
Another one of those books that makes you want to see the Middle East, especially Lebanon and Egypt, and that in times of pandemic and lockdown would have been better not to read.
Other than that, the story is cute and the author with her "not feeling at home" in either New York or Beirut, I understand her a lot.
In addition, the description of the food makes one atavistically hungry.
Un altro di quei libri che fanno venire voglia di vedere il Medio Oriente, in particolare il Libano e l'Egitto, e che in tempo di pandemia e con il lockdown sarebbe stato meglio non leggere.
A parte questo la storia é carina e l'autrice con il suo "non sentirsi a casa" né a New York né a Beirut, la capisco moltissimo.
Inoltre la descrizione delle cose da mangiare fa venire una fame atavica.

Defying the Earl (Regency Charms, #1) by Anabelle Bryant

I don't like this book even if when I read the plot I was so happy because it was so different from the usual regency romance that I was looking forward to read it. Problem was that even if it's well written and not boring, I couldn't find chemistry between the main characters so in the end I was not even interested in the story.
Non mi é piaciuto questo libro, anche se, quando avevo letto la trama, ero molto felice perché finalmente era qualcosa di diverso dal solito romance in epoca regency. Il problema nel mio caso é stato che, per quanto ben scritto, non c'erano nè chimica nè scintille tra i personaggi e alla fine mi sono annoiata.
