Eventually this last book has been published and with Preppy part three I close my not so long but intense period as a not so sure fan of T.M.Frazier. She wrote things that I didn't like and didn't even appreciate, but still I couldn't stop reading her stories, still wondering why.
Finalmente questo ultimo libro é stato pubblicato e con Preppy parte 3 si conclude la mia parentesi come fan di T.M.Frazier, che é stata breve ma intensa. Continuo a pensare che le cose che scrive non mi piacciono né le condivido, resta il fatto che non sono riuscita a smettere, per fortuna lo ha fatto lei.

I read only this short story because I tried some of the others but I didn't like them so much, this instead, was a required reading for my MOOC in World Literature.
Ho letto solo questa storia breve perché le altre che ho iniziato non mi sono piaciute, mentre questa era obbligatoria per il mio MOOC sulla World Literature.

Some sort of intermediate book where eventually something happens and I'm looking forward to read the next one because the story had a real good twist, not totally unforeseeable, but still good.
Una specie di libro intermedio dove finalmente, alla fine succede qualcosa che mi spinge a leggere immediatamente il seguito, un plot twist non completamente imprevedibile, ma quasi, che apre ad un nuovo filone con "cattivi" diversi.

Berlin. I lupi del Brandeburgo by Fabio Geda, Marco Magnone

Bene bene, la scena si allarga e la storia torna ad essere veramente interessante, ammetto che sette libri sui soliti raagazzini chiusi nella vecchia Berlino ovest mi metteva un po' d'ansia, invece adesso i prossimi tre volumi si preannunciano pieni di sorprese e sicuramente piú avvincenti di quanto pensavo. Non vedo l'ora che mio figlio sia abbastanza grande per leggerli, magari giusto in tempo per l'ultimo volume :)

Good-Bye, Chunky Rice by Craig Thompson

I have to admit that this is the first time that Craig Thompson disappointed me, but as it was his first published graphic novel, I'm very happy that I read this as the last one, otherwise I would have probably stopped immediately and that would have been a real pity!
Devo ammettere che questa é la prima volta che Craig Thompson mi delude, ma siccome questo volume é stato il primo dei suoi lavori ad essere pubblicati, sono felice di averlo letto per ultimo, altrimenti mi sarei magari fermata subito e sarebbe stato un super peccato....

One long night to read this book from the beginning till the end, a real good "georgian" thriller that starts new ramification in the plot. Hero and Devlin are still one of my favorite couple and viscount St.Cyr is involved in some awful killing towards the poor children of London. Made me happy to live in these days, which is a lot to say considering trump.....
Una lunga notte per leggere questo libro dall'inizio alla fine, un vero giallo ambientato in epoca georgiana che porta a nuove ramificazioni nella trama. Hero e Devlin restano comunque una delle mie coppie preferite ed in questo nuovo romanzo il visconte St.Cyr é impegnato a scoprire che sta uccidendo i bambini poveri di Londra. Mi ha reso felice il vivere in questi anni, e non é poco considerato trump.....

Mi ero dimenticata di quanto mi fosse piaciuto il cartone e, considerato che il libro non lo avevo mai letto e mi é piaciuto pure di piú, sono entusiasta di aver scoperto che c'é persino un seguito ed é gratuito sul Gutemberg Project, quindi ora vado.

The first one I liked it better, but mostly because in this one, due to the "sensibles topics" I could really feel the 100 years between me and the author, plus the epistolary novels was set exactly like the first, so in a way, it was just a retelling with a different setting. Anyway it was an enjoyable reading, mostly because I got other details about Jarvis and Judy's life.
Il primo mi era piaciuto di piú, anche perché gli "argomenti sensibili" trattati in questo romanzo facevano sentire veramente il peso degli anni passati tra il momento in cui l'autrice lo scriveva e quello in cui io lo leggevo, con l'aggravante inoltre, che come romanzo epistolare era stato scritto con lo stesso impianto del primo, quindi mi é sembrato piú volte di rileggere la stessa storia con un setting diverso. Resta il fatto che é stata una piacevole lettura, anche perché sono riuscita ad avere ulteriori dettagli sulla vita di Jarvis e Judy, che restano i miei prediletti.

His Bloody Project by Graeme Macrae Burnet

I have mixed feeling towards this book because I cannot really say that I didn't like, but also I cannot say that it was a pleasure to read it and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody. It's dark, it's unbelievably sad, there is no hope or salvation, there is the Highlands landscape and everybody is brooding and I was so happy when I reached the last page, but still there is something in this novel that will stay with me for a long time.
Ho dei sentimenti contrastanti nei confronti di questo libro, perché non posso dire che non mi sia piaciuto, ma nemmeno posso affermare di averlo letto con piacere, né lo consiglierei a nessuno. È macabro, triste e non c'è nessuna speranza di salvezza in queste brumose montagne della Scozia dove tutti sembrano essere di pessimo umore, quindi questo giustifica la mia gioia arrivata all'ultima pagina, ma comunque c'è qualcosa in questo romanzo, che resterà con me per lungo tempo.

Funny little story just to come back in touch with the character of one of my favorite urban fantasy (?) series: Peter Grant, hero despite himself.
Breve divertente storia, giusto per rientrare in contatto con il personaggio di una delle mie serie Urban Fantasy (?) preferite: Peter Grant, eroe nonostante tutto.
