It was not a bad saga with all that involves japan tradition: demons big animals, hell and samurais, but still I was very upset that Netgalley sent me 2 books out of three. If you love old times Japan and the stories of the Samurai and the ghosts, these books are for you.

Non é stata una brutta saga, che comprendeva tutto il tipico folklore giapponese: demoni nella forma di animali giganti, l'inferno ed i samurai, ma allafine ero piuttosto scocciata dal fatto che Netgalley mi abbia mandato solo due libri sui tre che compongono la saga. Se vi piace il Giappone dei samurai e dei fantasmi, questi libri fanno per voi.

Interessantissimo, forse perché tratta principalmente delle traduzioni in lingue che conosco e quindi gli esempi sono stati, per una volta finalmente (per quanto riguarda Eco almeno) chiarificatori e non "complicatori". Alcuni degli esempi mi erano noti, altri no, ma tutti sono serviti a darmi una chiara idea di quanto ci sia dietro ad un processo accurato di traduzine e soprattutto a gioire del fatto che non sia uno dei miei lavori :)

I got this feeling of déjà lu, and I hate this sort of cliffhanger and when I read that this story will be divided in 4 books I was really upset, so this is just my opinion and you now know why I was mostly disappointed even if Pia and Dragos are 2 of my favourite characters ever.

Inanzitutto mi sembrava un libro già, poi non finisce affatto e anzi, la storia sarà divisa in altre tre parti e quindi potrete capire come mai questa storia non é proprio stata una delle mie preferite nonostante Pia e Dragos siano da sempre una delle mie coppie top.

This is my first book by Jess Michaels and I'm sure I will read the first two in this series, I liked it sooo much! Crispin and Gemma are great together and she is stronger as he is and fight for their love. A different Regency and a very likable one.

Questo è il mio primo libro di Jess Michaels e sono quasi certa che leggeró anche i primi due di questa serie perché mi é piaciuto proprio tanto. Gemma e Crispin sono una bella coppia e lei é la piú forte dei due e combatte per il loro amore. Un regency differente dal solito e sicuramente molto piacevole.

Molto chiaro ed interessante, probabilmente perché riprende argomenti giá trattati in alcuni saggi precedenti o forse perché i tre saggi di Eco hanno un contraddittorio e poi una chiusura dell'autore stesso. Forse uno dei suoi saggi piú comprensibile per chi non é un esperto di semiotica o un professore di letteratura.

I was expecting a little bit more from Arabella and Marcus because I was really waiting for this book, that in the end was not the best of the series, because in a way was absolutely unbelievable even for a Regency love story.

Sono così delusa dal finale che gli ho levato una stelletta. Il libro mi era piaciuto tanto, anche se sono troppo giovane per avere gli stessi ricordi di Yambo, mi sembrava di sentir parlare mio nonno o anche mio padre e poi arrivano le ultime pagine.....Resta uno dei romanzi migliori comunque.

I always preferred Joe Walton's plots to her writing. This time I have to admit that I really liked the "meta-book" she wrote, probably wrong definition among other things, although it was sometimes difficult to read, with many (too many at times) characters caught by Shakespeare, the history of Renaissance Florence and other various characters from other fantasy books. Probably though, it would have been better to read "Lent" first.

Ho sempre preferito le trame di Joe Walton alla sua scrittura. Stavolta devo ammettere che il metalibro che ha scritto, definizione tra l'altro probabilmente errata, mi é piaciuto molto, nonostante sia stato a volte difficile da leggere, con tanti (troppi a volte) personaggi pescati da Shakespeare, la storia della Firenze rinascimentale e altri vari personaggi di libri fantasy. Probabilmente peró, sarebbe stato meglio leggere prima Lent.

Per me questo libro é stato troppo difficile, le conoscenze che Eco considera preesistenti erano quasi totalmente assenti nel mio cervello, quindi la maggior parte del tempo mi sono messa a saltare dei lunghi passaggi che mi erano totalmente incomprensibili, peccato. Se invece la vostra conoscenza della filosofia soprattutto contemporanea é buona, penso che possiate apprezzare questa raccolta di saggi.
