Beautiful and deep book,written in a relatively smooth way and impressive considering that the author was very young when she wrote it. Life in America's deep south just before the Second World War through the eyes of some unforgettable characters such as Singer, the deaf-mute, and Mike the girls who loved music and growing up.
Libro bello e profondo, scritto in modo relativamente scorrevole e impressionante se si pensa che l'autrice era molto giovane quando l'ha scritto. La vita nell'america del profondo sud appena prima della seconda guerra mondiale attraverso gli occhi di alcuni personaggi indimenticabili come Singer, il sordomuto e Mike la bambina che cresce amando la musica.
