I can see one my favorite author trying to do something different from "The graveyard's queen" series and almost failing at it, because some pieces and bits were still pretty scary for a romance, even if it is an "intrigue" one. The story is also not bad and the couple is good, but I will forever miss the scary books she used to write, even if she started with romance I also think it's too late for her to go back ;)
Posso anche apprezzare lo sforzo che ha fatto una delle mie autrici preferite (The graveyard queen series) di tornare al romance senza troppi drammi - anche se questo fa parte della serie intrigue- m mi sembra che abbia anche fallito perché questo libro aveva dei pezzi francamente paurosi! La coppia regge, ma non mi dispiacerebbe che l'autrice mollasse definitivamente il romance per tornare a fare quello che le riesce meglio!

I have thyroid problems so I liked this book a lot because it was very clear and well written and the recipes are not overly difficult and with impossible ingredients. I like also the picture a lot and the introduction was full of new informations for me (and I bet for my doctor also).
Io ho problemi di tiroide quindi questo libro mi é piaciuto parecchio perché era ben spiegato, inoltre le ricette non erano super complicate e gli ingredienti di facile reperimento. Inoltre le foto erano belle e nell'introduzione ho trovato molte nuove informazioni sul mio problema che scommetto ignora anche il mio medico.

What happened the day of the earthquake and the consequent Tsunami, we Europeans can only imagine and get a glimpse from pictures and stories told by journalist, but while everybody was worried for the nuclear power plant of Fukujima, there were the parents of almost of a hundred children from the primary school who lost their kids in the big black whale, due to bureaucratic shit and bad human choices. Their stories and their loss is something I will never forget.
Quello che é successo il giorno del terremoto e del conseguente Tsunami, noi europei lo possiamo vagamente immaginare dalle immagini e dai racconti giornalistici, ma mentre tutti erano preoccupati - giustamente - per la centrale nucleare di Fukujima, c'erano i genitori del quasi centinaio di bambini della scuola elementare di Okawa che non avrebbero piú rivisto i propri figli, per colpa di stupide decisioni burocratiche ed errori umani. Le loro storie ed il loro dolore non é qualcosa che si possa dimenticare facilmente.

I have to admit that it is not the right book if you are not living in the northern part of Europe, because of the ingredients and mostly because some of the things to be eaten are an acquired taste (herring for breakfast just an example of that). But I have to say that there are some very interesting recipes all the same and the pictures are very beautiful.
Devo ammettere che se non si vive nella parte nord dell'Europa questo non é proprio il giusto libro di ricette da regalare, sia per gli ingredienti, sia perché alcuni piatti non sono poi cosí comuni dalle nostre parti (tipo le aringhe a colazione). Per il resto peró ci sono cose interessanti e soprattutto le foto sono molto belle.

Libro di auto aiuto per migliorare la nostra salute fisica e mentale che consiste nel prendere e mantenere buoni propositi per almeno quattro giorni e verificare il miglioramento. Non é esattamente il primo libro del genere che leggo ultimamente.

This is not an easy book so it is difficult to me to criticize or approve what is written inside, but it was still interesting to consider the cholesterol from a new point of view, and the statine also!
Questo non é un libro facile quindi non me la sento di criticare o approvare quanto c'é scritto, ma comunque é stata una lettura interessante anche perché mi ha fornito un nuovo punto di vista sia sul colesterolo che sulle statine.

Short book of recipes of old times straight from the pages of Anne of the green gables. Best part was reading the short stories that accompanied the recipes and knowing that were written from one of Montgomery's grand-grandchildren. For lovers of Anne.
Breve libro di ricette dal sapore antico che arrivano direttamente dai libri di Anna dai capelli rossi. La parte migliore consiste nel leggere le brevi frasi tratti dai libri che accompagnano le ricette e sapere che sono state scritte da una pronipote della Montgomery.
