I liked this book a lot, I actually read it all in one day and it was worthy. Only thing that disappointed me a little was the way the author handles the not Chinese adoptive couple, with some sort of the usual racism but reverted. That said, she handles all the drama pretty well and I got the same good feeling I had with her previous book.
Questo libro mi é piaciuto parecchio e l'ho letto tutto in un giorno perché non riuscivo a smettere. L'unica cosa che mi ha lasciato un po' di amaro in bocca é stato il modo dell'autrice di descrivere la coppia adottiva non cinese, un razzismo rovesciato rispetto al solito. Detto questo é stata comunque in grado di gestirsi tutto il dramma senza scadere nel pietismo e il libro mi ha lasciato una bella sensazione, esattamente come quello prima di questo.

This is a technical description of the way comics changed more or less from the WWII. Some of the theses I understand were about the powerless of the superheroes in front of chaos, where they are only witness. The psychological part was to me pretty clear, unluckily my knowledge of the comics world was less than enough, but I still enjoyed this book a lot.
Questa é una descrizione piuttosto tecnica di come i fumetti siano cambiati, piú o meno dalla seconda guerra mondiale in poi. Alcune delle tesi principali portate avanti dal libro hanno a che fare con la mancanza di potere che hanno anche i supereroi stessi di fronte al caos, di cui sono solo testimoni senza capacità di intervenire. La parte psicologica per quanto mi riguarda era piuttosto chiara, piuttosto era la mia scarsa conoscenza dei fumetti che mi ha impedito di godere appieno di questo saggio, che peró mi é comunque piaciuto molto.

As a geek myself, I'm delighted with this book and I'm looking forward to try some of the recipes that are explained here, most of all the Klingon coffee, I just wonder where were I when the fist book hit the shelf, because now I have to find it absolutely!
Considerato che anche io sono un po' nerd, questo libro mi é piaciuto molto e non vedo l'ora di provare alcune delle ricette che ci sono spiegate, cominciando dal caffè Klingon. Mi chiedo solo dove fossi quando é uscito il primo volume di questa serie, che ora devo assolutamente ritrovare!

The first three stories were great, apocalyptic and claustrophobic, the other not so much, but to sum up another great comic on the Batman series.
Le prime tre storie erano fantastiche e claustrofobiche quanto basta, le altre due non cosí belle, ma complessivamente un altro bel fumetto di Batman!

This is a wonderful novel but it is rather complicated, I get trough the first 50 pages having no idea of whom I was reading about, but then it goes easier and the story is unforgettably sad and astonishing. I am going to read other books by Magda Szabo, but not immediatly...
Questo romanzo é tanto bello quanto difficile, le prime 50 pagine non riuscivo a capire di chi si parlasse, dove si trovasse ed in che periodo, poi peró migliora e la storia é meravigliosamente triste. Credo che leggeró altri libri di questa autrice, ma non subito....

Una collezione di saggi per andare in profonditá dove io avevo visto fino ad ora un immediato divertimento. Differenti punti di vista per i veri fan e i super amanti del genere, ma non per tutti.
