It is not easy to write a book when everybody already knows the story, but I think that the author did it because of the success she got and the personal appreciation of course. Achilles saw trough Patroclo's eyes is a good character but not "the best of the men" (cit.).

Credo sia difficile scrivere un libro la cui storia é arcinota, ma penso che l'autrice ci sia riuscita e non solo per il successo di vendite, ma anche perché a me é piaciuto chiaramente. Achille visto attraverso gli occhi di Patroclo é un ottimo personaggio, ma certo non "il migliore tra gli uomini" (cit.).

So I read it in one setting and was not disappointed because I liked it a lot, not his best novel, but still....

I have not read the previous books of Dr. Sörensen, but  I liked this one, it is short, clear and above all it is not full of words but rather immediate, as the title says is a diary, a list of tips to follow to simplify our life. Let me be clear, there is nothing new or particularly innovative, but perhaps its strongest point lies in the simplicity of the tips, which are feasible.

Non ho letto i libri precedenti della Dott.ssa Sörensen, ma questo mi é piaciuto, é breve, chiaro e soprattutto non é pieno di parole ma piuttosto immediato, come dice il titolo é un diario, una lista di consigli da seguire per semplificarci la vita. Sia chiaro, non é niente di nuovo o particolarmente innovativo, ma forse il suo punto forte sta nella semplicitá con cui si presenta e con cui presenta i suggermenti, che sono fattibili.

Despite this was one of the books where a lot of things were happening, I did not like Zen and Bronnie: starting with the name-calling and going for all the times they have said how much they love each other and how much they are perfect for each other. Probably the fact that we arrived at the 26th installment of the series has also its weight, it would be nice if Mrs. Feehan shut the whole thing soon enough.

Nonostante questo sia stato uno dei libri dove accadevano piú cose Zen e Bronnie proprio non mi sono piaciuti, a cominciare dai nomignoli e proseguendo per tutte le volte che si sono detti quanto si amano e quanto sono perfetti l'uno per l'altra. Probabilmente il fatto che siamo arrivati al 26° capitolo della serie ha pure il suo peso, sarebbe carino se la Feehan chiudesse il tutto abbastanza presto.

Graphic novel molto particolare, in cui ogni personaggio viene raccontato nel suo problema di memori a e poi descritto in un disegno, affascinante e molto triste anche perché fa riflettere (molto) su quanto la nostra memoria siamo poi noi stessi.

If I think that for a quarter of the book the two main characters were not even together, I am surprised for how much I liked the book anyway, probably because Tess is a tough girl and Xavier a nice person (or a nice vampire if we want to be precise). Thea Harrison is enriching the plot of the Elder Races and at this point I can not wait to read the book on Melly and Justin, because it promises sparks.

Se penso che per un quarto del libro i due protagonisti nemmeno erano assieme, mi stupisco io per prima di come mai mi sia piaciuto tanto, probabilmente perché Tess é una tipa tosta e Xavier una bella persona (o un bel vampiro se vogliamo essere precisi). La Harrison sta arricchendo la trama delle Elder Races e a questo punto non vedo l'ora che esca il libro su Melly e Justin, perché promette scintille.

For somebody like me who loves Batman a lot, this is the summing up of all I have ever wanted to know about my favorite superhero. From the beginning till the actual stories, I have learned all the multiple facets of Mr. Bruce Wayne and I love him even more.

Per qualcuno come me che ama moltissimo Batman, questo libro rappresenta tutto quello che avrei sempre voluto sapere (e non avevo mai osato chiedere) sul mio supereroe preferito. Dalle prime storie fino alle ultime, possiamo vedere Mr. Bruce Wayne in tutte le sue varie sfaccettature e, se possibile, amarlo ancora di piú.
