I preferred this book to Hillbilly Elegy because it is not so repetitive and for a woman to do what Tara did it is much more complicated compared to what she would have to endure if she was a boy. That said it was an emotional reading even if a compelling one.

Questo libro mi é piaciuto di piú rispetto ad Hillbilly Elegy, fondamentalmente perché molto meno ripetitivo, ma soprattutto perché Tara é una donna e per riuscire a fare quello che ha fatto lei da ragazza, é sicuramente piú difficile rispetto al farlo da maschio. Detto questo, é stata una lettura emotivamente molto pesante, per quanto non riuscissi a smettere.

Nice thriller where we met Sherlock Holmes, Borges, Poe and Dirac. Parallel universe and Quantum mechanics are thrown all together for an enjoyable novel.

Giallo che vede oltre a Sherlock Holmes la presenza di Borges, Poe e Dirac. Per amalgamare il tutto ci sono universi paralleli e meccanica quantistica. Bel libro.

Gardening as a form of meditation and spirituality. Deep in its own special way, this book has not to be read only by gardeners, but as I am not a gardener myself, I think I missed something.

Il giardinaggio come forma di meditazione e di spiritualitá. Profondo in un suo modo speciale, questo libro non deve essere letto per forza ed unicamente da giardinieri, ma siccome io non lo sono, ho avuto la netta sensazione di perdermi qualcosa.

If you have a passion for French apartments, this is the right blueprint to follow so to build up your own Maison. I think it is pretty well written but I would have preferred more illustrations, or even better, pictures.

Se avete una passione per le case francesi, questo libro vi fornisce il progetto perfetto da seguire per costruire la vostra Maison. Per caritá il libro é scritto anche bene, ma sinceramente si sente proprio il bisogno di illustrazioni o meglio ancora foto.

Hello Stranger by Lisa Kleypas

I don't know what recently happened to Lisa Kleypas, but she doesn't seem to be the same author who wrote the Wallflowers series anymore. This Ravenels are just so similar to all the others regency romances, just a little bit of an enjoyable reading, but far from being something to remember, a pity for a long time Kleypas reader.

Non mi è chiaro che cosa sia successo negli ultimi anni a Lisa Kleypas, ma non sembra piú la stessa, o quanto meno non piú la stessa autrice del ciclo delle Wallflowers per esempio. Questi Ravenels non si distanziano minimamente dai solito regency e niente li rende particolari e tantomeno indimenticabili, come ai vecchi tempi, quando un libro di Lisa Kleypas rimaneva in mente facilmente.
