Well-told book full of fantastic information about Mars, which casts a whole other light on the science fiction books I'm used to reading. Far from easy however and very dense with information, only for true fans of the Topic.
Libro ben raccontato e pieno di fantastiche informazioni su Marte, che gettano tutta un'altra luce sui libri di fantascienza che sono solita leggere. Tutt'altro che facile comunque e densissimo di informazioni, solo per veri appassionati dell'Argomento.

Speaking in Bones (Temperance Brennan, #18) by Kathy Reichs

A good book when finally we have Ryan back, even if it's not for a long time and we get to know, or better we try to understand, Temperance's problem with weddings and commitment. The story is not bad also, even if I do not really appreciate when they use an escamotage like the DDI, I would have liked something different and tougher in a way.
Un buon libro, dove finalmente c'é anche Ryan, per pochissimo comunque, e l'autrice cerca di spiegarci le resistenze e i problemi che ha Temperance nei confronti del matrimonio e degli impegni a lungo termine. Anche il giallo non é male, ma mi sarebbe piaciuto di piú se alla fine non fossero ricorsi ad un trucchetto come il DDI, avrei preferito una soluzione magari anche piú dura ma meno sfangata.

I tried to read this stuff, but it was too much. With Anastasia we have the point of view of an idiot, but in this book there is the POV of a mean person, so I gave up. A bad childhood is not a good excuse, even if you are a tormented billionaire, because you should have been able to afford a good psychotherapy at last.
Ho provato a leggere questo romanzo, ma se con Anastasia avevamo il punto di vista di un'idiota che non si rendeva conto di avere a che fare con uno stalker, qui c'é la visione di una persona cattiva e sinceramente non mi andava proprio di andare avanti. Un'infanzia non delle migliori non é una buona scusa per diventare un uomo tormentato e stalker, in quanto miliardario avresti quanto meno dovuto trovare un buon psicoterapeuta.

Wenn dieses Buch ist eine Metapher für etwas, habe ich nicht verstehen für was. Wenn dieser Roman will gegen die Gefahren einer Reise zu warnen, übermäßiger schien es mir; ein bisschen wie der Autor, dessen Sprache als bin ich nicht Muttersprache, hatte ich viel Mühe zu folgen.
Se questo libro é la metafora di qualcosa, non ho capito bene di cosa. Se questo romanzo vuole mettere in guardia contro i pericoli di un viaggio, mi é sembrato eccessivo, un po´come il linguaggio dell'autore che come non madrelingua ho faticato tantissimo a seguire.

Masanobu Fukuoka is a famous botanist who for 75 years has been pursuing the theory of non-doing agriculture (The Natural Way of Farming), which in turn is inspired by the Buddhist concept of Mu (without).
This is a kind of history of his thought, from the first revelations before the Second World War to a whole series of practical ideas to put, or rather not put, agriculture in motion, leaving it to nature itself.
Unfortunately, my knowledge of botany is very poor so I can not base on factual data my reaction a little bit of bewilderment and a little bit of disbelief that caused me this little ebook, but let's just say that I would love that what the author wrote was not only very feasible, but absolutely functional.
Masanobu Fukuoka é un botanico molto famoso che da 75 anni porta avanti la teoria dell'agricoltura del non fare, che si ispira a sua volta al concetto buddista del Mu (senza).
Questa é una specie di storia del suo pensiero, dalle prime rivelazioni prima della seconda guerra mondiali a tutta una serie di idee pratica per mettere, anzi non mettere, in moto l'agricoltura lasciando praticamente fare alla natura stessa.
Purtroppo le mie nozioni di botanica sono scarsissime quindi non posso fondare su dati di fatto la mia reazione un po' di sconcerto e un po' di incredulitá che mi ha causato questo piccolo ebook, ma diciamo pure che mi piacerebbe tanto che quanto scritto dall'autore fosse non solo molto praticabile, ma assolutamente funzionante.

In this recent revival of Greek epics I really enjoyed "The silence of the girls", but I must admit that I also read "A Thousands ships" by Natalie Haynes, whose protagonists are roughly the same as in this novel, so much so that I can't be sure which stories belong to one book and which to the other. I liked them both, but the stories all get mixed up in my memory now.
In questo recente revival dell'epica greca ho apprezzato molto "The silence of the girls", ma devo ammettere che ho letto anche "A Thousands ships" di Natalie Haynes, le cui protagonista sono grossomodo le stesse di questo romanzo, tant'é che non posso essere sicura di quali storia appartengono ad un libro e quali all'altro. Mi sono piaciuti entrambi, ma le storie ormai si confondono tutte nella mia memoria.

This novel was really great, I probably should have appreciated even more if I read "The Winter's tale" by Shakespeare, but I didn't and I loved the book anyway. It's so well written, the story is fascinating and the characters are really great and till the end I had no idea of what was going to happen, and maybe that's one of the reason why I don't regret so much my ignorance about "the play". The best Winterson I read so far.
Questo romanzo é stato veramente bello, probabilmente lo avrei apprezzato anche di piú se avessi letto la commedia di Shakespeare da cui prende spunto: "The Winter's tale", ma ormai era tardi e il libro mi é piaciuto tanto lo stesso. È ben scritto, la storia é affascinante e i protagonisti della storia (e ce ne sono tanti) sono uno meglio dell'altro e fino alla fine non avevo idea di quello che sarebbe potuto succedere, e forse é questo uno dei pochi punti a favore del non aver letto l'originale del Bardo. Il miglior libro della Winterson che ho letto finora.

El Señor Presidente by Miguel Ángel Asturias, Alejandro Lanoël-d' Aussenac (Editor)

Historia difícil de leer en el idioma original, complejo y con un lenguaje que no se entiende fácilmente por aquellos que no están familiarizados con el español de Guatemala. Sigue siendo una buena novela.
Storia difficile da leggere in lingua originale, complessa e con un linguaggio non facilmente comprensibile per coloro che non conoscono bene lo spagnolo dell'America Latina. Resta comunque un bel romanzo.

I used to love the Maverick Montana Boys but this last book was boring and I will quit for a while to read her, even if I know I have already said that but on the long run all of her books are similar and it's better if I remember the old ones when there was action and story and not only alpha heroes whom speak like a cavemen.
Mi piaceva questa serie, ma questo ultimo libro é di una noia incredibile e smetterò di leggerla per un po'; é vero che l'ho giá detto ma alla fine, pur continuando serie diverse, i suoi libri mi sembrano tutti uguali, quindi é meglio se mi limito a ricordarmi com'era, quando le sue storie erano piene di azione e non soltanto di maschi alfa che parlano come uomini delle caverne.
