The insight into the world of publishing is the least obvious thing in this novel. It is cute, but so full of stereotypes that half would have been enough. I think that the author was aware of this, because she was the first to mention them, but although at the beginning it was fun, in the long run boredom took over. Besides that, Charlie and Nora have a good chemistry, but they are so overwhelmed by little problems that they don't realize they are exaggerating on the "insurmountable difficulties" side of living together in the city.

Lo spaccato sul mondo dell'editoria é la cosa meno ovvia di questo romanzetto. Caruccio per caritá, ma cosí pieno di stereotipi che la metá sarebbe bastata. Non a caso credo che l'autrice ne fosse proprio consapevole, perché era la prima a citarli, ma nonostante all'inizio fosse anche divertente, sulla lunga distanza la noia ha un po' preso il sopravvento. A parte questo Charlie e Nora hanno anche una buona chimica per caritá, ma sono cosí sommersi da piccoli problemi che non si rendono conto di stare esagerando sul versante: "difficoltá insormontabili" per vivere assieme a NY.
