Trigger by Scarlett Dawn, recensione di Amyra
I received this ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review. I also bought it on release day.
It was one of those story that I cannot review straight away... I had to wait for about a week before writing it.
Did I like it? Yeah. But I like all books by Scarlett Dawn. I'm a hard core fan like that.
This one has a different feeling, though. It's the first in a series but can be read as a stand alone. The next one has different main characters.
I like Poppy so much... she doesn't want an arranged marriage and she's willing to fight on her father's worst enemy's army in order to avoid that. She's a bad ass, and so brilliant. She has a wild one night (one hour?) stand... only to discover that she's been with her father' said worst enemy, Mr. King. Who is a shifter. And may want a bit more that a one night stand. It has a slight Romeo and Juliet vibe.
This book is uncomplicated and can be read by everyone. But I personally want more conflict in mine. So it's a 4 stars and not a 5.
