I have to say that not even the first book by this author was that much good to me, maybe my problem is that after being 40 years old, all these problems of adolescence seem just a series of stereotypes and phrases already heard, just like this book.
I do not mean that there are no fans of the genre, just look at how many readers of Fabio Volo and Federico Moccia there are in the world , but I do not belong to this percentage. The story is trivial, it is enough just to read the back cover to realize this , the dialogues are trivial, the adolescents described here are a parody of real teenagers and the fact that the writer is a professor of high school aggravates his position and, if I were a teenager, I would feel betrayed, but I'm not, so it's just extremely boring and predictable.
Also even in this case the translation could be much better, so dear publishing house Open Road, as in the case of Sargasso, I would recommend you to change your translator from Italian into English, please.
Devo dire che nemmeno il primo libro di questo autore mi aveva interessato piú di tanto, forse il mio problema é che dopo i 40 anni tutti sti problemi adolescenziali mi sembrano solo una serie di stereotipi e di frasi giá sentite, esattamente come questo libro.
Non voglio dire che non ci siano estimatori del genere per caritá, basta guardare quanti sono i lettori di Fabio Volo e di Federico Moccia, ma io non rientro in questa percentuale. La storia é banale, basta leggere la quarta di copertina per rendersene conto, i dialoghi sono banali, gli adolescenti qui descritti sono una parodia degli adolescenti reali e il fatto che lo scrittore sia un professore delle superiori aggrava la sua posizione e non potrei che viverlo come un tradimento, se fossi un'adolescente, ma non lo sono quindi é solo estremamente noiso e prevedibile.
Inoltre anche in questo caso la traduzione poteva essere di gran lunga migliore, quindi cara casa editrice Open Road, come nel caso di Sargasso, ti consiglierei di cambiare il tuo traduttore dall'italiano all'inglese, per favore.
