I had liked Cleopatra and Frankenstein, but this is even better, and I don't often get to put 5 stars. Probably and lately Coco Mellors is one of the few among writers who is not afraid to give a happy ending to a book that may be very sad, but doesn't have to be all the way through. It takes courage to consider a serious novel even one that does not end in despair and even more courage to write one.

Cleopatra e Frankenstein mi era piaciuto, ma questo é persino meglio e non mi capita spesso di mettere 5 stelle. Probabilmente ed ultimamente Coco Mellors é una dei pochi tra scrittori e scrittrici che non ha paura di dare un lieto fine ad un libro che puó essere anche tristissimo, ma che non deve per forza esserlo fino in fondo. Ci vuole del coraggio nel ritenere un romanzo serio anche quello che non finisce in disperazione e ancora di piú per scriverne uno.
