This is a beautiful book, the story is fascinating although very sad, and offers a glimpse of a world, that of blacks in the Everglades at the beginning of the last century, about which I was completely ignorant. Only problem for me, the English used to write the novel is quite difficult, even if it is worth it, it has not been easy to end up reading it.
Questo é un bel libro, la storia é affascinante anche se molto triste e offre uno spaccato di un mondo, quello dei neri nelle Everglades all'inizio del secolo scorso, che ignoravo completamente. Unico problema per quanto mi riguarda, l'inglese con cui é scritto, mi risultava parecchio difficile, anche se ne é valsa la pena, non é stato facile finire di leggerlo.
