Starting from the fact that D.F.W. is one of my favorite author what I really liked about this book (that sadly was written by somebody that has never talked to D.F.W.) is that the author doesn't stop on the "morbid" final moments of the writer's life, and that I really appreciated. Too many things were written about the last moments of David Foster Wallace, but for me was so much more interesting to know how could he have written what he did before committing suicide and this book was really interesting for the above reasons.
Partendo dal fatto che David Foster Wallace è uno dei miei scrittori preferiti, la cosa che più mi è piaciuta di questo libro (che purtroppo è stato scritto da un autore che non ha mai conosciuto David Foster Wallace) è stato il fatto che non si sia dilungato sugli ultimi momenti della vita dello scrittore e questo l'ho apprezzato molto. Tanto è stato scritto sul suicidio di D.F.W., sulla sua vita e sull'abuto di droghe e farmati, ma quello che per me era molto più interessante, e l'ho trovato in questo libro, era piuttosto come era arrivato a scrivere alcuni dei suoi capolavori, piuttosto che dilungarmi sulle varie ragioni del suo suicidio che alla fine si riducono ad una sola ed è depressione.
