I read it for my EDX course Masterpieces of World Literature, and I liked it, mostly because after the video lessons, I knew what was waiting for me, because I had no idea about this huge Epic of Gilgamesh, differently translated and splitted in many different cuneiform tablets....
Letto per il mio corso EDX sui capolavori della letteratura mondiale, e per fortuna perché altrimenti non avrei ben capito il perché delle varie e differenti versioni e di come, tutto sommato, come poema epico fosse veramente notevole, specialmente per i tempi.

Review: Bluets

Very particular book that just because of the structure though, reminded me of Apeirogon. Everything revolves around the color blue and the author's story, but she tells it through variations on the theme.
Libro molto particolare che solo per la struttura peró, mi ha ricordato Apeirogon. Tutto ruota intorno al colore blu e alla storia dell'autrice, che peró la racconta attraverso le variazioni sul tema.

There is something between me and Vonnegut that never clicked, but it's not for a chance of trying. This is my 5th and last of his book, some were better than the others, some were as bad as this one, which is probably a huge metaphor that I didn't get as usual.
C'é qualcosa tra me e Vonnegut che non é mai scattato, ma non perché non ci abbia mai provato anzi; questo é il mio quinto, e credo stavolta, ultimo libro scritto da lui, alcuni erano meglio, altri li ho trovati incomprensibili e brutti come questo, che sicuramente era un'altra super metafora che non ho capito.

Pretty difficult, so I'm not sure I got the complete picture and, even more important, the way this studies are going to evolve, still it was an interesting reading that give me a glimpse of a lot of possibilities for the future.
Libro abbastanza difficile, infatti non sono sicura di avere il quadro completo della situazione, tanto meno di come potrebbe evolvere, nonostante questo una lettura interessante che mi ha dato una visione di un futuro pieno di possibilitá.

Stavolta le due indagini appaiate, che sembrano essere il format seguito ultimamente dall'autore, non mi sono piaciute piú di tanto: una era un pochino ridicola e l'altra, tutto sommato, non era poi cosí interessante; ma ok, ormai le storie di Pizzofalcone le leggo fondamentalmente per vedere cosa succede ai personaggi piuttosto che per il giallo.

Probabilmente a causa della traduzione, ma magari anche per via della trama, dopo aver sofferto per qualche capitolo ho ceduto e l'ho riportato in biblioteca, magari non era il momento giusto, o magari siamo io e la letteratura russa che abbiamo litigato da piccoli.

Bella storia, ma alla fine il colpevole era piuttosto evidente considerato che avanzava soltanto lui (ho utilizzato un generico pronome maschile, ma non é detto che l'assassino sia un maschio ;) Il commissariato di Pizzofalcone resta una delle mie serie preferite per quanto riguarda i personaggi soprattutto, e poi stavolta De Giovanni ha fatto sopravvivere il bambino di turno, che era giá dall'inizio destinato ad una brutta fine, deve essersi messo una mano sulla coscienza dopo la "strage degli innocenti" che ha fatto nei libri precedenti....

Into the Fire (Night Prince, #4) by Jeaniene Frost

Best book so far involving Vlad and Leila, and the last it seems; we have a lot of friends back to help them like Mencheres and my favorite ever: Ian! The plot is good and there is a lot of action, plus not so much useless sex and enough love. What I also appreciate is that next book is finally going to be Ian's one and I like Veritas also, so I'm looking forward to read it!
Per quanto mi riguarda questo é il migliore tra i libri che vedono Vlad e Leila come protagonisti, inoltre sono contenta che a quanto pare sia l'ultimo, inoltre ci sono anche un sacco di vecchi amici tra cui Mencheres e il mio favorito di sempre: Ian. La trama é avvincente e c'é un sacco di azione, non ci sono inutili e lunghissime scene di sesso, ma c'é amore quanto basta. Quello che inoltre mi riempie di gioia é che il prossimo sará finalmente il libro su Ian e sono contenta che ci sará anche Veritas, perché mi sembra un'eroina tosta.
