As usual there is something that doesn't switch between me and T.C.Boyle and as usual, the main characters are not the people I think, at last at the beginning. This story is well written and is probably a huge critic towards U.S., but if I stay on the plot I have to admit that more than once I kept my distance with the characters because I didn't like them, and that is probably the reason why this novel can be a rally huge masterpiece but still I wouldn't notice.
Come sempre qualcosa non è scattato tra me e T.C.Boyle e come sempre i personaggi che credevo sarebbero stati i principali, nel corso del libro sono cambiati. Questa storia é ovviamente ben scritta e probabilmente (anzi quasi sicuramente) anche una grande critica nei confronti degli Stati Uniti, ma se rimaniamo strettamente sulla trama, devo ammettere che più di una volta ho mantenuto le distanze dai personaggi, perché non mi piacevano; questa è sicuramente anche la ragione per cui, anche se questo romanzo fosse un capolavoro, io probabilmente non me ne sarei accorta.

Eighth Grave After Dark (Charley Davidson, #8) by Darynda Jones
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I liked this book almost till the end, then I was sooo totally disappointed that I gave just 3 stars. I wonder why the author thought that the twist of the plot in the end was such a good idea, for example as one of her reader I'm totally upset.
Questo libro mi é piaciuto molto quasi fino alla fine, quando poi ci sono rimasta così male che gli ho dato solo 3 stelline invece di 4. Mi chiedo perché l'autrice abbia pensato che la svolta delle ultime pagine fosse proprio necessaria, io per esempio ritengo sia stata una pessima idea.

Review: The Cimmerian Vol. 1
The Cimmerian Vol. 1 by Jean-David MorvanMy rating: 4 of 5 stars
It took me a little time to get used to Morvan and his illustrations, but in the end I get used to that and Conan is always Conan, so I loved the story.
Mi ci é voluto un pochino ad abituarmi ai disegni di Morvan, ma alla fine ce l'ho fatta e per quanto riguarda la storia Conan é sempre Conan, quindi mi é piaciuto molto:

Bellezza e tristezza by Yasunari Kawabata, Atsuko Suga (Translator)

Mi sembra ormai piuttosto chiaro come io apprezzi Kawabata in modo totale e assoluto e se proprio devo scegliere, anche in questo caso mi piacciono più i romanzi che i racconti, anche se la differenza in termini di pagine a volte non è poi così sostanziale.

Sweet and very romantic story, that I really liked, and now the Rogues trio is made of married men and I wonder if this is going to be the last book in this series...we will see....
Molto carino e romantico e ammetto che dei tre é quello che mi é piaciuto di piú e ora il trio degli scapoloni é diventato un gruppo di uomini sposati e mi chiedo se questo sará l'ultimo libro di questa serie....staremo a vedere....

The hellhounds are on earth and they are searching for our friends, while there is a marriage to plan and some ghosts to help. The things between Reyes and Charley are always really complicated and her stubbornness doesn't help at all. Now the next book is going to be interesting.
I mastini infernali sono arrivati sulla terra e stanno cercando i nostri amici, mentre c'é un matrimonio da pianificare ed alcuni fantasmi da aiutare. Nel frattempo le cose tra Reyes e Charley sono sempre molto complesse anche per via della di lei testardaggine e quindi il prossimo libro si preannuncia interessante.
