I have not read "The Color Purple", but these poems by Alice Walker I liked a lot, short, direct and with a few words can make the atmosphere.

Non ho letto "Il colore viola", ma queste poesie di Alice Walker mi sono piaciute molto, brevi, dirette e con poche parole riescono a rendere l'atmosfera.
