As a psychotherapist I'm probably one of the most biased person to read this book, I cannot really see the point of an auto diagnosis trough psychology test picked up from the local library, but each one her own, so if you really think you can do everything alone without asking the professionals out there, then this book could be good, even if it would take you much more time and mistakes.
Come psicoterapeuta mi sfugge completamente l'utilitá di autodiagnosticarsi attraverso test psicologici e libri presi in prestito dalla biblioteca, piuttosto che farsi aiutare da tutti i professionisti che ci sono in giro, quindi non era proprio il caso che scrivessi in effetti questa recensione, tanto meno che leggessi il libro; d'altra parte, se siete una di quelle persone che preferiscono fare tutto da sole mettendoci molto piú tempo e commettendo molti piú errori, allora buon divertimento.

A memoir that is sometimes a science book and sometimes a psychological essay. If you ask me, the book is a little bit too long, but it was enjoyable.
Un'autobiografia che sconfina nel libro di scienze a volte, ed altre assomiglia ad un saggio di psicologia. Secondo me leggermente troppo lungo, ma piacevole comunque da leggere.

Unfortunately, I think this is one of those cases where “I'm not Japanese enough” (by the way, I'm not Japanese at all) to appreciate both the story and the kind of sense that should be implied, I think. These two characters around whom the whole plot revolves have always remained too distant from me to feel not say any kind of empathy, but just plain interest. It will be better next time, I hope.
Purtroppo credo che questo sia uno di quei casi in cui "non sono abbastanza giapponese" (per altro non lo sono affatto) per apprezzare sia la storia che il tipo di comicitá che dovrebbe essere implicita, credo. Questi due personaggi attorno cui ruota tutta la trama sono rimasti sempre troppo lontani da me per provare non dico qualche tipo di empatia, ma proprio anche un semplice interesse. Andrà meglio la prossima volta, spero.

Started and finished the same night, couldn't stop reading, even if post pandemic books are not always my favorite (still having nightmares about S.King's The Stand). A wonderfully written story that spans along many years, with flashback and forwards and unforgettable characters. It was a long time since my last binge reading but this one was a real page turner!
Cominciato e finito la stessa notte perché non riuscivo a smettere, anche se i libri post pandemia di solito non sono i miei preferiti (ho ancora gli incubi da L'ombra dello scorpione di S. King). Una storia scritta in modo magistrale che copre parecchi anni con flashback e forwards e piena di personaggi veramente indimenticabili. Era passato parecchio tempo dal mio ultimo binge reading, ma questo romanzo ne valeva veramente la pena!

Disegni e parole, un classico senza tempo che permette ad uno dei miei autori preferiti di usare le parole in libertà, senza doversi sottoporre ai limiti imposti da una storia, lunga o breve che sia. Piacevole sorpresa, non gli avrei dato una lira all'inizio....

Una bella storia, un padre ed un figlio che imparano a conoscersi in una strana circostanza che in qualche modo cambierà le loro vite per sempre, e inoltre si parla di jazz. Carofiglio non delude nemmeno stavolta.

J'ai dû le lire pour le literaturkreis et je l'ai trouvé totalement ennuyeux. Le seul point positif est que j'ai pu relire L'etranger après beaucoup de temps et que je l'ai trouvé aussi beau que d'habitude.
Ich musste es für den Literaturkreis lesen und fand es total langweilig. Die einzige positive Seite ist, dass ich den Etranger nach einiger Zeit noch einmal lesen konnte und fand ihn so schön wie immer.
I had to read it for the literaturkreis and I found it totally boring. Only positive side is that I got to reread L'etranger after a lot of time and found it as beautiful as usually.
Ho dovuto leggerlo per il literaturkreis e l'ho trovato completamente noioso. Il solo lato positivo è che ho avuto modo di rileggere L'etranger dopo un sacco di tempo e l'ho trovato bello come al solito.

Berlin. Il richiamo dell'Havel by Fabio Geda, Marco Magnone

S'intravede la fine in lontananza (soprattutto perché Geda ha detto che saranno 6 libri) quindi sono felice da una parte e triste dall'altra. Una saga che in qualche modo mi ha accompagnato anche nei miei di anni berlinesi, inoltre ho anche promesso a mio figlio che potrà leggerla una volta arrivato a 12 anni. Chiaramente non si puó goderne molto come libro singolo estrapolato dal contesto, ma invidio chi avrà la possibilità di divorarseli tutti di seguito una volta che la saga sarà terminata. Detto questo, il solito bel libro che si legge tutto d'un fiato.

I don't know why, but I didn't like this installment in one series that is usually one of my favorite. Slow, boring and even the culprit in the end was not sooo believable. I'm disappointed but ok, maybe it's my fault.
Non so perché, ma questo volume di quella che é solitamente una delle mie serie preferite mi ha proprio deluso. Farraginoso, lento, e anche il colpevole non é che poi fosse cosí credibile alla fine....mah...magari é solo colpa mia....

Review: Blue Sisters

I had liked Cleopatra and Frankenstein, but this is even better, and I don't often get to put 5 stars. Probably and lately Coco Mellors is one of the few among writers who is not afraid to give a happy ending to a book that may be very sad, but doesn't have to be all the way through. It takes courage to consider a serious novel even one that does not end in despair and even more courage to write one.
Cleopatra e Frankenstein mi era piaciuto, ma questo é persino meglio e non mi capita spesso di mettere 5 stelle. Probabilmente ed ultimamente Coco Mellors é una dei pochi tra scrittori e scrittrici che non ha paura di dare un lieto fine ad un libro che puó essere anche tristissimo, ma che non deve per forza esserlo fino in fondo. Ci vuole del coraggio nel ritenere un romanzo serio anche quello che non finisce in disperazione e ancora di piú per scriverne uno.

Another great story featuring my two favorite glamourists, this time also involving Mellory and the endless winter of 1816. I only have one book left to finish this series, and I have mixed feelings because I want to read it as soon as possible but also want to put it off so I don't reach the end of the series....
Un' altra grande storia co i miei due glamouristi preferiti, che stavolta coinvolge anche Mellory e l'inverno infinito del 1816. Mi manca solo un libro per finire questa serie e ho dei sentimenti contrastanti, perché mi trovo a volerlo leggere quanto prima e a rimandare per non arrivare in fondo alla serie....
