Probably this series is not finished, with the war between fae and humans to come, but the thing is that I waited for Dani and Ryordan almost 10 years, and I was so disappointed that for me it is the end. Maybe in a couple of years I will change my mind because I will have forgotten how miserable I feel now and I will keep on reading, or maybe not.
Probabilmente questa non é la fine della serie, con la guerra in arrivo tra gli umani e le fate, ma il problema é he io ho atteso per quasi dieci anni la storia tra Ryordan e Dani e ci sono rimasta cosí male che per me questa é la fine. Magari tra un paio d'anni se e quando avró dimenticato la delusione che mi ha provocato questo libro, continueró a leggerla, o magari no.

Questa breve storia che vede protagonisti Aya e Toru, ma soprattutto la pioggia, mi ha ricordato una poesia molto lunga e piacevole. Dall'ideogramma iniziale credo pure che l'autrice lo abbia dedicato alla mamma, con cui anche la protagonista ha un rapporto complicato. Ci sono inoltre sprazzi di vecchi luoghi e personaggi che appartengono ad altri libri, ma sempre a Tokyo.

This is probably the first time that a Jill Shalvis' book left me so unsatisfied. I found the story completely predictable and the characters borderline boring. Still wondering why and if it's my fault or not.
Questa è probabilmente la prima volta che un libro di Jill Shalvis mi annoia cosí tanto. La storia é assolutamente prevedibile e i personaggi assolutamente privi di fascino. Sto ancora cercando di capire se é colpa mia, che l'ho letto nel momento sbagliato, oppure no.

L'autore chiaramente conosce l'argomento e questo lo porta ad avere un atteggiamento decisamente troppo supponente. Detto questo il libro offre un piacevole excursus attraverso giardini inglesi principalmente e potrebbe essere un bel regalo per chi ama il genere.

Abbastanza interessante, anche se spesso ho come la sensazione che l'autore si dilunghi anche in modo eccessivo su una serie di particolari sempre piú minuti. Ma forse sta qui l'essenza del titolo, nella descrizione di quei microcosmi che racchiudono il tutto in un infinitesima parte del reale.

Non sono una grande fan del commissario Ricciardi, ma di tanto in tanto leggo un suo libro quando mi capita tra le mani in biblioteca. Questo era il primo romanzo che lo vede protagonista, anche se lo avevano anticipato dei racconti, credo, comunque non li ho letti in fila e per fortuna, perché se avessi cominciato da questo, probabilmente non avrei mai proseguito.

My first Kent Haruf was read in one setting and really appreciated, I'm going to read some other books he wrote as fast as I will recover from this dive in sadness. A great writer from a normal story that became wonderful due to his words.
Il mio primo Kent Haruf é durato metá pomeriggio e mi é piaciuto veramente molto, quindi ne seguiranno altri appena mi riprendo dalla tristezza che ora ammanta tutto. Un grande scrittore che trasforma una storia normale in una meravigliosa grazie alle parole che usa.

Some chapters were more funny compared to others, but the irony of Thackeray is really well used in this little sarcastic book.
Alcuni capitoli erano più divertenti di altri, ma comunque Thackeray utilizza la sua ironia in quantità industriale per riempire questo breve libro di sarcasmo.

While I was reading this book I stopped for a couple of weeks because I didn't agree on one of the biggest decision of Luisa, thank God I kept on reading and in the end I was right :) This story resonated a lot with somebody like me who is not at home anywhere.
Mentre leggevo questo libro mi sono fermata per un paio di settimane, fondamentalmente perché non condividevo affatto una delle decisioni principali di Luisa, per fortuna che poi ad un certo punto, ho finito il libro perché chiaramente avevo ragione :))) Comunque il bello di questa storia, é che per chi non é nè carne nè pesce come me, ha molto molto senso.

There are many appealing aspects to this book, but collectively they do not make for a good read. The characters appear somewhat caricatured, even those who later develop in real ones, the plot is somewhat confusing, and there are sudden surprises that do not seem to fit in very well. In my opinion, with some good editing, it could have been significantly improved. However, as it stands, I do not believe it will motivate me to read the second part. We shall see.
Ci sono tante cose carine in questo libro, ma tutte insieme non fanno comunque un buon libro. I personaggi sembrano delle macchiette, anche quelli che poi lo diventano, la storia é un po' confusa e poi ci sono improvvisamente delle sorprese che non c'entrano poi molto. Secondo me con un buon editing si poteva salvare parecchio, così com'é peró, non credo mi spingerà a leggere la seconda parte, vedremo.

Pretty cool, I like the way thins are moving on compared to some other books, and I'm looking froward to the final showdown with the president. April and Damon are a good enough couple, even if it was, in my opinion, a bit too much of instant love, which I do not appreciate a lot.
Mi é piaciuto, soprattutto per come le cose si stanno muovendo complessivamente e rispetto ad altri libri in cui non succedeva poi molto, diciamo che mi aspetto molto dall'incontro finale con il presidente. April e Damon non sono male come coppia, anche se questo instalove non é poi cosí digeribile da parte mia.

This was the first book I have read by T. Sturgeon, but I'm pretty sure it won't be the last, or so I hope. The story was compelling even if I found it absurd at the beginning, but I couldn't stop reading, Unluckily the first part was better than the second, that was better than the third, but still a very good story.
Questo é il primo libro che leggo di Sturgeon, ma spero non sará l'ultimo. La storia mi ha preso sin dall'inizio, anche se non ci stavo capendo nulla e la trovavo assurda, ciononostante non riuscivo a smettere di leggere; purtroppo la parte migliore é la prima e poi si va a scalare fino alla terza, ma resta comunque una bella storia da quattro stelle.

I liked this story, mostly because it is not your usual romance, even if the lady involved is a lady of the ton, but Clarence, not, not at all. Plus I was happy to see many of the disgraced lords again, it was like a family reunion.
Questa storia mi é piaciuta fondamentalmente perché, sebbene lei sia una lady del ton, Clarence non lo é nemmeno lontanamente, anzi. Inoltre sono stata contenta di rivedere alcuni tra i disgraced lords, sembrava quasi una riunione di famiglia.

Meh....insomma sí, non è male la storia dell'autore, anche se lui partendo dall'idea di liberarsi dal superfluo ne fa derivare un cambiamento di personalità talmente spettacolare da sembrare sospetto; per il resto le cose che mi hanno interessato maggiormente sono i riferimenti ad altri scrittori/maangaka/registi, che hanno discusso dell'argomento minimalismo.

I liked this book a lot, also because I like Luisa a lot :) That said I proposed my kid to choose a cake per week that we can try to do. Only disappointment is that there is not a picture for every meal.
Questo libro mi é piaciuto tanto anche perché mi piace tanto Luisa, ma detto questo ho proposto a mio figlio di scegliere una torta a settimana cosí proviamo a farla, purtroppo peró, l'unica cosa che non ho apprezzato del libro, é che non ci fosse una foto per ogni ricetta.
