Kelley Armstrong has been telling stories since before she could write. Her earliest written efforts were disastrous.   Cosa dicono di lei: Kelley Armstrong è una delle più brave scrittrici del genere “soprannaturale” che io abbia letto. I suoi libri mescolano mistero, indagini, thriller, avventura e amore in giuste dosi, regalando le stesse emozioni di telefilm come Streghe, Buffy, Supernatural. I suoi libri della serie Women of the Otherworld sono scritti veramente bene, con dettagliate descrizioni e grande introspezione psicologica ma, al tempo stesso, sono toccati da uno spruzzo di cinismo ed ironia che li rende veramente unici. Unfortunately, I admit my ignorance as this is the first book I read written by Kelley Armstrong, but, I mean, things have to start somewhere, so when I happened upon the possibility to get a copy before the release I jumped at it. The characters that recur more often in these short stories are Helena and Clay and then Savannah and Adam; they, for some of you may have become friends over the years, but they were complete strangers to me. 

Let's start by saying that even those who have not read the previous stories,  have no difficulty in understanding immediately the paranormal world created by the author, also brief applause and praise to the fact that Kelley Armstrong has created so far, what I believe is the unique alpha female of a pack of werewolves, don not worry, I´m not spoiling ;)

Helena and Clay are very cute together, and even better with their twins, their relationship is peaceful but passionate and I also believe that the author has succeeded in showing us very well what could be the difficulty in which the couple could find themselves when the alpha of the pair is the woman. Savannah and Adam, on the other hand, are still working on being a "couple", but they are as much fun as the others and the lines are also used to keep the tension high: But there's more: in the last story, which is also the "new one" who sees them as  protagonists, the loyal readers of the series will assist at a turning point in their relationship, but, of course, I will keep for me. 

Mention of praise for some of the secondary characters that enrich the environment and make the stories even more enjoyable.

Purtroppo ammetto la mia ignoranza in quanto questo é il primo libro che leggo scritto da Kelley Armstrong, ma, voglio dire, da qualche parte bisogna pure cominciare, quindi quando mi é capitata la possibilitá di averne una copia prima dell'uscita me la sono accaparrata. I personaggi che piú spesso ricorrono in queste brevi storie sono Helena e Clay e poi Savannah e Adam; questi che per alcuni di voi possono essere diventati amici nel corso degli anni, erano per me dei perfetti sconosciuti. Cominciamo quindi con il dire che anche chi non ha letto le storie precedenti, non ha nessuna difficoltá a comprendere immediatamente il mondo paranormale creato dall'autrice, inoltre breve plauso e lode al fatto che abbia creato a tutt'oggi quella che io ritengo sia l'unica femmina alfa di un branco di lupi mannari, tranquilli non sto spoilerando niente ;) Helena e Clay sono molto carini assieme e ancora meglio con i loro gemelli, il loro rapporto é pacifico ma passionale e inoltre credo che l'autrice sia riuscita a rendere molto bene quelle che potrebbero essere le difficoltá in cui l'alfa della coppia é la donna. Savannah e Adam invece sono ancora in rodaggio come "coppia", ma altrettanto divertenti come personaggi di un paio di racconti brevi in cui le battute servono anche a tenere alta la tensione, inoltre, siccome l'ultimo racconto che é anche l'inedito li vede come protagonisti, i lettori affezionati della serie assisteranno ad una svolta nel loro rapporto, che peró, ovviamente, terró per me. Menzione di lode anche per alcuni dei personaggi secondari che arricchiscono il contesto e rendono i racconti ancora piú godibili.
