Book well and clearly written, which starts from the history of the cell and how it has evolved (probably, but do not tell the inhabitants of the Bible belt) in the organisms that we currently know. Great importance and significance is given to the DNA to arrive to genetic engineering, to show how can be created from nothing rad simple organisms such as Synthia to get to Frekles, the goat that when milked produces spider silk. Space is also given to the ethics that should be the basis of such experiments and possible future developments to which I hope to attend.
Libro interessante e scritto in modo molto chiaro, che parte dalla storia della cellula e di come si sia evoluta (probabilmente, ma non lo dite agli abitanti della Bible belt) negli organismi che attualmente conosciamo. Grande importanza e rilevanza viene dato al Dna per arrivare poi all'ingegneria genetica, al come possano essere creati dal niente degl organismi semplici come la Synthia per arrivare a Frekles, la capra che quando viene munta produca la tela dei ragni. Viene dato anche spazio all'etica che dovrebbe stare alla base di tali esperimenti ed alle possibili future evoluzioni a cui spero di poter assistere.
